Hmmm I think that I'm drawing one touhou pic per day, train train train


This one I think that the head is too big, also I discovered that paint has one good pencil tool, photoshop should have something like this  :V


So I reduced the head, make it round and reduced the eyes. I think that I am finding the proportions that I like

No, I read a few about anatomy but I don't have a book, I try to copy some artists' style or some drawings from google that I like

Styling comes after anatomy, though. I don't remember the name of it, but there's a great website with poses and programs and challenges for one to learn and practice anatomy, I'd totally recommend that if I just remembered it hurr :derp:

Wow thank you, this site is awesome, in this end of year holidays I'll try to study more body anatomy like @HakureiSM suggested. Using one running model from this site I made this drawing:

The hair from the picture that is looking to the right seems OK for me but the other pic's hair looks a bit short, I think that you should move the hair's base upward to make the head look rounder

The hair from the picture that is looking to the right seems OK for me but the other pic's hair looks a bit short, I think that you should move the hair's base upward to make the head look rounder

I suggest you start reading on anatomy as soon as possible. Posemaniacs gives references, but just drawing while looking at the poses won't help. How do I put it...you need to know where the muscles are, and what they're doing, etc. Guidelines will help as well. In fact, I strongly suggest you start viewing the body as a ball and cylinder model as a guide to anatomy. Proportions are also a must. You're going to need all of that if you want to improve. Also start drawing nekkids. Drawing a character naked before putting clothes on gives you an idea of where the limbs should be, and you get to practice anatomy as well.

Clothing is also something you'll need to look on. I can't actually give any advice on that other than to draw from life.

I think I've posted this, but I'll post it again. It's an anthro tutorial, but it also teaches the human bits, and it's pretty comprehensive if you don't have a book handy.

Hmm I tried to say that you should make the hair higher like in the following pic. I made the hair grow a little higher than the circle that you draw to use as the head's base:
