- seems a east vs west aesthetic going on
- dual attack/guard are back, hopefully less horrifically broken
- weapon triangle advantage vs bows??

In particular, it looks like the battle scenes are actual 3d renders of where the fight takes place on the map. If that's the case... :*

It looks like they're basically polishing FE:A, which looked/sounded great and was fun before it became broken. It's interesting how they're showing armies in the background of the battle animations.

I could swear I've seen that stone face somewhere - isn't that a famous statue or fountain or coin or something? If that and many others like it play a part in this game then I am really quite hype.

Black-armored Jeigan guy looks interesting. He's one of maybe two playable characters in the trailer who couldn't pass for 14, though.

I really hope Dancing Anime Girl Plot Device Incarnate isn't as forced as she was in this trailer. ~~unless she's a Dancer Lord~~

I do enjoy the Japanese/Greek-Roman aesthetic they're doing now. Not sure if I could go back to the "old" way of doing things, where you didn't have a world map and had to play through the missions as they came, but I'd still enjoy it regardless.

One thing I was hoping to see from the Team Attacks was an attack where both the units combined their attacks for a stronger hit. Like maybe two mages combining magic into a bigger attack, that sort of thing.

And they make children fight in the wars again (at least judging by the looks of the most characters shown so far.)

Terrible? No.

Horribly broken if you gamed it? Yes. In normal mode I litrerally created a Severa who could solo entire levels of promoted enemies without taking any damage.

They're useless if you don't train them and game-bendingly strong when you do (and you can grind all you want). They also frustrate completionists because of how they interact with the support system, and they cause really obnoxious shipping warz (not the fanservice kind, but the "NO NO NO your Kjelle will SUCK if you marry _____ to Sully" sort).

Broken very much yes, it just sounded like people hated the concept. I mean where else in gaming can you make sweet romance with your best friends future daughter and wonder what he thinks of you.

That's most of FE:A though.

Ah right... I could care less of that since you can max your stated over time anyway. The only thing that proved a challenge was the dlc.

Some people are against the notion of "Waifu Emblem." It was an unfortunate byproduct of the concept combined with an attractive cast of characters in FEA.

When i first saw this, I thought it was a mix of the 100 years war (With the French at the forefront) and then the Sengoku Judai. Until i saw game play, I honestly though Fire emblem was going to tackle a real world setting (...With the... uh... Exception of the Pegasus Knight, but hey, who's complaining?). That would of a cool change of pace and setting.

But regardless, Still fucking Hype as shit.
