"Knock knock! Look who's back! Sorry for the delay, but, eh. You know how this war thing goes. Let's go ahead!"
Isn't Haro adorable?
Since we did two first stages on the First Generation might as well do the last one, based on Gundam F91.
Stage 1: FRONTIER RAIDSide 4, renamed Side Frontier. A bunch of colonies held together by the gravitational properties of a Lagrangian Point. Specifically, we're looking at Side IV...
Where a revolt staged by military group Crossbone Vanguard looks towards establishing an aristocratic regime.
But of course the colonists won't have that shit.
Wait what are these-
Motherfuckers
Ok, now really we have our good guys. They are...
Seabook Arno on the F91 Gundam.
Cecily Fairchild in the hijacked Vigna Ghina.
And Birgit Pirjo, piloting the Heavygun.
Oh christ they are surrounded by these bugs
Time to deploy! This mission is different, tho.
This is a TWO MAP mission. However unlike most missions of this type, we don't have a way to send units from one map to the other. That means that Seabook and company will be alone for the time being.
Let's get this party started!
We'll let these bugs come to us. That will be a good strategy, given the way they behave.
In the meantime we come closer...
And begin the rampage!
...Or not. The Den'an Zon is much tougher than the grunts we've seen so far.
Let's see how Allenby does in this GM Quel, then!
Oh come on
reallyWell at least it takes less damage.
Mark goes for the kill...
And scores!
Now, how do the bugs behave?
They just come closer, in turns. They are AI managed after all.
So this is how it stands. We can't let them get any closer!
Let's see the other quirk that the bugs have.
Aww yeah so sexy
The bugs
can't dodge worth shit. Now let's get rid of the other one.
This is almost too easy.
In the meantime...
Let's see if the bonus of high tension is enough to break this Den'an Zon wide open.
NOPEHowever Allenby *GASP* manages to get the kill.
Deriously GM Quels have crap range.
Will this be enough...? I don't want to have one less Gundam.
It was! Hooray for support attacks.
And hooray for leveling up!
The bugs take it easy, coming slowly.
This is pretty much the trademark attack of most Crossbone Vanguard suits, the Shot Lancer.
Meh.
Imagine if the Cali Verse had the aim of any of our units. It'd be invincible!
FUCK
YEAH
DOMON
Aww, still too hardy to destroy them in one hit.
Meanwhile inside the colony...
One less bug to worry about.
You'll see why I don't kill the last one.
The bugs come closer!
In the meantime Mark is attacked by an Ace pilot of the Vanguard Dorel Ronah piloting the Berga Dalas.
"Hahaha... Our ideals are stronger than you! Cosmo Babylonia will prevail!"
Our turn again, and Domon does what Domon knows best.
And he levels up for his efforts.
The ship deploys it's cargo, a pair of Ebirhu-S MSs. You know what it means.
It's capture time!
The fireworks make Mark much stronger, somehow.
Woop woop.
Now let's deal with Dorel.
Advantage comes in numbers, of course.
This hand of mine, etc etc.
SAY BYE
Of course little bitch retreats.
Oh FUCK THAT THING MUST DIE NOW NOW NOW
Now, what was the reason why I delayed the killing of the 4th bug...?
Wars Trigger: Seabook destroys 4 BugsOk we can't possibly handle all those bugs.
So we abscond the colony!
And the crew joins the fight on the outside map.
A large amount of NPC firepower can only mean one thing.
It's RAFFLESIA TIME
Owch.
He comes with his bug consorts too.
"Only the ones born with the right should reign supreme!"
Oh and of course Zabine Chareux piloting the Berga Giros.
Let's deal with the kiddos left behind.
As a Mobile Suit's level increases, it starts getting more points, and the cost of upgrading increases too.
Now we're cooking with fire!
The Tornado Gundams are... very subpar.
Come on, REALLY?
Mark does his stuff. Hooray.
Owch. That's kind of a nasty blow.
There's another ship to the side, so might as well prepare for it.
Fuck fuck fuck if he gets hit it's a goner
So instead we put Allenby as support defender.
She takes the hit instead, saving Mark's Phoenix Zero.
Owch!
That dude got erased for his troubles.
Let's let these guys come at us instead.
We're... very weakened.
Sending some guys to the ship is not a bad idea at all.
Neither is making sure that the last enemy of this side will die.
And lo, he dies.
Now Domon can do what he does best unpunished.
Of course, we need the Mobile Suits to deploy first.
Much better.
And now that ship is really gone.
Hooray, explosions!
Hooray, captures!
Hooray- Wait, we don't have enough range to return to the ship.
Eh, let's wait the bugs to come.
And so the Rafflesia approaches too, slowly.
Realigning the ship...
And sending Domon to a Manly-stricken massacre.
One more!
The F91 crew gets up to speed.
Carozzo tries to attack Domon...
Ooops, he hits.
FUCK That's a lot of damage
Worst part is that since he got hit during Super Critical Tension, he also reverts to normal.
Back to the ship with you!
Seabook reaches Critical Tension, which causes the F91 to open it's exhaust ports, activating the MePE (Metal Peel-off Effect).
And gets a healthy golden glow as a side-effect. Oh, and the attack animations get fancier.
No, don't put on 3d glasses. These are afterimages, indeed!
Afterimages... with Mass. Yes, this is the origin of the name of the Labyrinth of Touhou item.
With the MePE, the F91 Gundam allows the Bio Computer to unlock the suit's true capabilities.
And given that Seabook's Tension is maxed out, it deals heavy damage to boot!
Might as well use the Cali Verse to attack.
Look at that ugly motherfucker.
Look at that! Tentacles!
Oh fuck, that's some heavy damage.
And the Cali Verse deals pitiful damage.
This thing is a monster!
The Cali Verse is on critical condition...
"Heh... You guys haven't discovered the Rafflesia's weakness yet...?"
"I-It's true! It can't attack units at melee range!"
Using one bug to give us the Chance step needed...
So we can attack without problems.
...So it turns out that the Cali Verse is just a smaller, differently colored Ark-Class battleship. The more you know!
Mark gets High Tension.
The Cali Verse retreats, as it's on critical condition.
Meanwhile everyone gangs up on the Rafflesia.
Uh oh, looks like it's over for the Heavygun...!
...Or not. Thank god for such armor!
It's almost over for Iron Mask Carozzo...
"I'll end this clown once and for all."
That support is not a bright idea, actually. Why?
I-Field! The beam nullifier Barrier!
And he's done for.
We, however, are not done with this! There's still one more threat... Zabine's squad!
Overkills sure are fun.
Seabook takes a page out of Domon's book and rampages.
Uh oh, better dodge... we don't want to lose Super Critical Tension.
WELL SHIT.
Mark fails to kill a grunt.
And gets cut for it. Not too bad.
Domon shall deal with you.
WHAT.Let's see if the Heavygun's missiles do the trick...
Apparently, not!
Jesus, this thing is durable.
And it's Shot Lancer hurts.
"A-Ah! Will this piece of shit ever take a hit well?"
Jesus christ this thing is too resistant to everything.
Just in case.
This ain't scoring a kill, but eh. Might as well weaken the last enemy.
Aaand...
FINALLY.
Zabine retreats to see another battle... one that we shall not see, sadly.
And the last grunt goes down. Seabook for MVP? Damn right he is.
This one was a tough cookie.
Our new part is the Wing Binder, that increases mobility at the cost of some armor.
Of course, we get some more ace points.
Woah, compared to all the previous captures this one is worth the trouble of scrapping it.
Look all that capital. LOOK AT IT FUCKDAMNIT
5 levels left to have the actual Shining Gundam instead of a Basic Version. The first MS, by the way, is G Gundam's grunt unit, the Nobusshi.
"W-What are you doing to my Phoenix Zero?"
We're upgrading it.
Say hello to your new unit, the
Phoenix Gundam!
And so we finish one more day of Mobile Suit combat. See you next time!
Fake Edit: Goddamnit Lem
