Yup, was going for that :) Something like what those female Kyoukai Horizon students wear; that kind of effect.
I guarantee you nobody, ever, EVER, wears anything so tight it squishes the breasts like in your drawing.

I do see that you wanted to make the breast look like they were popping out of her top, but the way it looks right now is like bad breast binding.

Sorry I can't critique much personally, all I can do is give out links and hope they help some way.

Thanks for the feedback!

@kinoko: Hm, I've seen similar in other pics, though I understand what you meant about me misunderstanding the refs. If it's not too much to ask, could you provide a redline of it done more correctly?

@SuperParadox: I'll add those in my list of things to study.

I'm not talking about the drawing itself. The design is awful. Please give her a top that fits.

So it's the top? I'll take what you said into consideration, though I'd appreciate it if you'd avoid using words that are pretty harsh, like "awful" to describe something. ^^;

Yeah, but less harshness wouldn't hurt :V

Also, I'd like to know what in my earlier drawing I did more-or-less correctly.

You're just gonna have to accept the fact that Kinoko is the Simon Cowell of AAA.

To be perfectly honest Espeon, although you are improving, I can't actually point at something in the drawing and say, "You did this correctly." On whole, the character looks kind of weird and stretched out from the sides.

Her face doesn't fit her head, her hair looks awkward, and her torso-hip anatomy just looks off. I can't give you specific corrections - I'm not sure I would know where to start. I can only suggest you study individual body parts more before going for a fuller picture like this.

One thing I can correct - her collarbone should not be slanted up towards the center. It should definitely be more level, and if slanted at all, slanted slightly down towards the center.

@HonestEspeon maybe it's a good idea to draw a nude woman and compare with some real nude model. This way you can see your flaws, when I got some time I'll try to do this too.

@Hawflakes: Fair enough, and I appreciate the feedback. I'll especially keep in mind that collarbone thing; I've an explanation as to why I thought the collarbone was to be slanted, but I guess that wouldn't really matter much ^^;

@Kaze_Senshi: good idea! I'll try that sometime :)

@Savory From what I can see from you, it seems like you've been putting out somewhat identical works. Given your style, which is pretty lacking in detail, simply drawing these over and over is going to hamper your improvement.

I suggest you should try experimenting, try out a different style that includes more detail, as well as more dynamic, interesting poses.

P.S You might want to...cut down on the fat. Just my opinion.

I like Savory's style. He may not be learning how to draw other things and styles, but I don't think he's really concerned about drawing those anyway.

Whether his style is appreciated or not is irrelevant. I'm sure improvement is the biggest goal for any artist, and the fact that he's pigeonholing himself in his own style along with uninspired, static poses is going to hamper that goal.

I'll keep my style, thank you very much. However, I am not above practicing different poses. I did so with Meiling.

And you are correct in saying that appreciation is a moot point. I will still keep trying to improve myself. Orin's pose only looks bland because I just felt the need to draw something, anything at all. However, I am proud at how her hands and the frills came out. I'm...not very good at that.

P.S You might want to...cut down on the fat. Just my opinion.

Hahahaha.

My old style made the characters rather skinny. Not going back to that again.

It looks pretty good, it reminds me a fighting stage. Someone should create a fighting game with your backgrounds.

Fighting game hasn't happened (yet), but Pokemon-style creature collecting game has.
