Ebarrett, fix it for chrissakes
Why aren't all touhou game highscores here (http://www.touhouwiki.net/wiki/High_scores)?
PoFV and fighting games: Nobody really takes high scores from those games seriously, because they are meant to be played against humans. Likely for this reason, royalflare (http://royalflare.net) doesn't have a scoreboard for them.I take PoFV scoring seriously XD Also L>Human to play PoFV. I once played against my brother, but he gave up quickly

I'll do those on the weekend~D:
Oh, it seems Heartbeam has two scores in the same category - Extra with Eiki. I guess the lower one shouldn't be there? What are you talking about? :V

cheatCare to elaborate? After watching the replay myself, I can say that his evident lack of an understanding of (what theoretically is) ideal score playing is a bit suspicious, though I won't comment on the dodging.
Extra - SikeikiInteresting how quoting someone who's account was deleted shows you what the username was.
CASH - 156,034,340 - C - http://replays.gensokyou.org/download.php?id=5412
I think suslik and s are the same person, so he has two scores for Normal EikiThat's correct, sorry for confusing with names :derp:
Care to elaborate? After watching the replay myself, I can say that his evident lack of an understanding of (what theoretically is) ideal score playing is a bit suspicious, though I won't comment on the dodging.I would add that the player seems to be moving and reacting too fast, hinting that it was played with slowdown. Dodging was highly skilled - going trough reimu card waves and even double waves without effort as an example.
If you're going to make a claim like that though, I think you should go into more detail if you want it to be taken seriously.
How this is good enough for second place, I'll never know.I had a similar experience when I did a NF 1cc with Marisa. I'd say it's because most of old scores on the board are just people's first clears, where they weren't necessarily playing very well, while someone who's doing a NF run probably has a better grasp of the mechanics, or he wouldn't be clearing under those conditions in the first place.
Normally the fairies appear after specific intervals. While you are focused, none will appear until all of the existing fairies are gone. If Lily is there, none will appear until she's gone. That's huge. Great discovery; thanks for sharing.
Oh and you could try Dxtory instead of Fraps... it worked better for me.Thanks for the recommendation. I tried the demo and it seemed to work pretty well. I'll have to try it out a bit more to see what it can do. Fraps is a dick, but it also possesses magical properties.
Or you can use OBS (http://obsproject.com/).This is in fact what I've been using to stream. I haven't gone all over every aspect of the config though, so I might be able to get it to work. I've only tried reducing the fps.
Not getting a full spell gauge because you used a spell shortly after taking a hit that brought you to your last half-orb of health isn't a glitch, and it certainly isn't "the" glitch. It's part of the game. An arguably stupid part, but a consistent part nonetheless.Uhh, this does seem unwarranted. chum knows that it happens consistently and wasn't blaming it on bad luck or anything. It's hardly the first time anyone's complained about that, or called it glitch.
Shouldn't blame the game for something you can avoid with proper timing.
In fact, from the looks of it I earned about 3mil from chaining over the course of the third round (which is crap, I didn't reach bonus once), used 15 spells, which was worth 2,250,000 in the clear bonus, and used 7 boss attacks, all of which were also reversals, which was worth 2,100,000. So really, if the death hadn't cost me the last 30 seconds of the second round (and however many points I would have earned in that time), it would barely have made a dent in my score. With better chaining, it could even have been a good thing.
edit: Watched Random's replay. If I wasn't convinced that he was cheater before when suslik pointed out the Eiki run, then I certainly am now.
I refuse to believe any kind of slowdown tools were used here unless the player was actively trying to conceal it by reducing the amount of actions.I think it's safe to say that, if he was cheating at all, he was definitely trying to conceal it.
I'd like to hear as many opinions on this as possible
I aptly named it "LegendSY" (The reason I named it will be explained on the replay I posted)!Just making sure, you do intend to use LegendSY as your submission name for the MotK scoreboards, right?
Just making sure, you do intend to use LegendSY as your submission name for the MotK scoreboards, right?
Since from what I could understand from that super-long replay description, it seemed you chose the name for that specific replay...
Yes, the name should be standardized-- if not, how could people keep track of who submitted what? Most people use their username/nickname, the name they most commonly use in-game, or whatever name people normally call them (if different).
A few people have decided they prefer a different name after submitting some scores, and decided to change it, which is fine as long as you don't do that repeatedly. (I did that myself-- my first few scores were submitted with my YouTube name KarisaMirisame, but I didn't feel like typing that every time.)
As for that last part... well, having a bit of a discussion in the scoreboard is fine as long as it doesn't go on too long. But I'd appreciate that you not call me terms like "grandmaster"-- being able to score on lower difficulties in variety of games isn't everything, and that sort of exaggerated praise is slightly discomforting. I'd appreciate it if you try to talk to me as just another player, if more experienced with Touhou scoring than a lot of HME. (I'd be glad to help if you happen to be interested in learning scoring systems, though.)
Normal - ReisenThat's not a score. If you're submitting to the scoreboards, you need to include your score. I'm not going to play the replay back myself just to find the score for you.

By the way, what's with the suddenly awful colors on the high score table? It should be fixed now. Sorry about any inconvenience.
It should be fixed now. Sorry about any inconvenience.Yeah, I'm concentrating on filling in the gaps in the high score table right now. Here's two more:
Also I noticed you've been playing quite a lot of PoFV lately...
Umm... Shimatora? When you put Zil's scores back on the list, it looks like you accidentally removed my Easy, Normal, and Hard scores.
I made multiple edits, I put them all back in. Not to worry. I added you Extra scores in first and saved so I wouldn't need to do it again.Alright, thanks.

@Fluffy8x:
Could you watch stage 9 of your replay or look at your in-game high score table to find out exactly what your Normal - Mystia score is there? Also, maybe take a screenshot showing the score as well.
Normal - MystiaAww, I was going to be second on Mystia Normal until you beat my score.
SomeGuy712x - 152,263,110 - C - Replay (http://replays.gensokyou.org/download.php?id=35179)
Well, I just decided to try Mystia on Normal myself, and after several aggravating attempts, including one where I got beaned three times by fairies emerging from a lower corner while I happened to be down there (I ended up rage-quitting that run), I pulled off this run, where a lot of things finally went my way, and I only died once, to Shikieiki, which is par for the course, I guess.
Weird seeing how dead this thread has become. Anyway, I happened to look at the uploader for the first time in forever and saw two interesting PoFV scores.

I'm too lazy to check them now but I may later. I won't be surprised if either the scores were entered wrong or the runs were tool assisted, but you never know I guess. There may still exist PoFV players in this world.
Also here's a run.
