E6-E cleared. The max damage I got was north of 800 points of damage during a HP depletion run. Last dance was four tries (2 with a poorly sparkled fleet, 2 with a fully sparkled fleet)

Final kill was not a ridiculous air strike hit but Prinz coming through with enough damage to take her out at night battle.

I have 11k fuel and ammo left. 14 days left and 5 more maps to clear.

E-6 Easy is complete, thanks to a lucky one-two doubletap from Haguro and Myoko, along with an opening airstrike shaving off 400 HP. Now for the last breather before I go Iowa-hunting.

I don't think so. I only S-ranked it before I went for E6, and I still get the voice-clip that indicates full debuff.

E-7 Easy clear
Even if this map was less stressful than E-6 and it was even more RNG airstrikes than said map, it still feels nice finally breaking through
And of course, there's the reward

I smartly locked my strongest destroyers on E-1 and am now having to level up other ones for E-3E Transport Escort.

I already have Kagerou, Hatsuharu, Yayoi (mistake), and Hibiki at lvl 25+. Lvl 40+ Fubuki, Shimakaze, Yukikaze, Akatsuki, and Shigure are event-locked.
So I need 3 more destroyers for my main fleet.

I leveled Ayanami to 20 on 4-3. I'm thinking my next two will be a pick between Kasumi, Ooshio, Yuudachi, and Hatsuzuki (lvl 7).
Which ones should I get? Are there other good choices besides the ones I mentioned?

Why the fuck didn't I at least clear E-2 during the summer event, how come I realize the value of destroyers only now when it's too late?
I want Iowa so badly but that bright future is so very, very far.

Generally I'd say that you should just level any DD with a Kai 2. At this stage of the game, though, if you're really going for Iowa with your fleet at these levels, I really suggest clearing on Easy so you don't have to deal with ship lock.

Also, I've been clearing on Easy, and I've already burned through over 10K fuel up to E6. Later maps will need good carriers, decent aircraft and lots of Sanshiki/Wurfgerat equips. If you don't have these, clearing on any higher than Easy is going to be a nightmare, and even Easy clear will be nigh-impossible.

Nope. You still get tagged, but you can use any ship regardless of tag on Easy stages.

the tags matter if you ever want to try a future map on Medium or higher, so TTKs don't try to cheat through E-1 to E-5, then do E-6 Medium so they can access E-7 hard for the hard clear medal

We got really lucky at last dance--

* Green T encounter and everyone in the green.
* One of the heavy bombers managed to cut off half of BB princess's HP.
* This was the state of play after Abukuma sank the DD Ancient Princess going into shelling phase
