Puzzle & Dragons 19: Forever waiting for Gungho NA edition

Puzzle & Dragons is an ios/android puzzle RPG.  It plays like a cross between Bejeweled and Pok?mon.  It's completely free to play, but has premium features through purchasable "magic stones," the game's premium currency (which can also be obtained frequently as rewards in-game), which allow for increased inventory, pulls from a rare egg machine, and more.  If you're patient enough the game gives you enough stones through special events and rewards that you shouldn't need to buy any.  (It's recommended you don't because then you will be feeding the mighty Juggler-empire lead by the Dark Lord YamaP and his army of really good artists.)

You can control monsters from lowly slimes to even lowlier dragons to mighty Awoken Buddhas like Bastet (as seen on TV-er above).  They all have different stats and skills, allowing you to customize your team for any number of purposes.

Real talk though, the real reason to get into this game is because everyone else here is playing it and has been playing non-stop for the past 2 years :V , and probably won't stop for a long time thanks to the constant updates to the game and its mechanics, balance changes that never directly nerf anything and are mostly focused on increasing the viability of older monsters, and of course the endless addition of new monsters and collabs that are dished out on a regular basis.

A tip for new players: At the end of the tutorial the game will give you one free pull on the rare egg machine.  It's best to "scum" this pull and start over (by uninstalling and reinstalling) until you get something that's really rare (a Buddha).  Great starters include any of the Chinese Buddhas, Ares, Bastet, Isis (<3), Idunn & Idunna, Lu Bu, Zhuge Liang, Odin, Kali, Shiva, Sonia, and many others.  Feel free to ask!

Fun fact: Pretty sure they do the same thing in the Flower Dragon dungeons where that background first appeared!  They also fall off periodically on their own I think.

Why did she inherit the finger instead of TPA from Sphinx :x pls
LS looks funky what with needing you to join hearts together WHILE doing combos. Of course the fingers make up for the increased difficulty, but I'm still not liking them throwing these new heart related LS onto bastet. (I have no Perseus, Michael, Verdandi, the three best green heartmakers. RIP)

BUT I'd still try to make this work!
First of all, I think I'm gonna need to pair up with a Verdandi frd. Mainly to make up for my lack of heartmakers, and also the hp boost is really nice now that bastet also gets it.
With my box I can do Bastet/ Astaroth,LiuBei,Amitan,Thief / Verdandi
Liu Bei is super conflicting here and is only here for the TPAs which is needed since we can't be activating the 4.5x or 6x on bastet consistently. Also the 3k heal saves lives. If only Amitan doesn't use dark to make hearts. sigh

Hopefully this can get me through mid-bosses with verdandi's hp boost.
For bosses,
Board arrangement expert netete has figured out the best boards for Lakshmi(rows) and Parvati (TPAs), of which bastet can make use of both.
The 6x can be triggered with even just 8 hearts generated by Verdandi+Astaroth combo (with two TPA combos!), and if there's 10-12, there are arrangements for 3 rows.

I don't know what to feel about this. It seems like it kinda works, but doesn't feel optimal.
Trying to stay positive here.
People are complaining on twitter.
They are obviously pulling a Lakshmi/Parvati/Vegito where they take complains and change stuff.
But of course there are no promises, so in that case I'll keep thinking how to make Bastet work with my stuff I guess.
