seriously, help me I can't stop playing it oh god ;_;

Puzzle & Dragons is an ios/android puzzle RPG.  It plays like a cross between Bejeweled and Pok?mon.  It's completely free to play, but has premium features through purchasable "magic stones," the game's premium currency (which can also be obtained occasionally as rewards in-game), which allow increased inventory, pulls from a rare egg machine, and more.

You can control monsters from lowly slimes to mighty dragons to even gods like Bastet, pictured above.  They all have different stats and skills, allowing you to customize your team for any number of purposes.

If you're interested, there's a really useful database of monsters and game info here: http://www.puzzledragonx.com/

A tip for new players: At the end of the tutorial the game will give you one free pull on the rare egg machine.  It's best to "scum" this pull and start over (by uninstalling and reinstalling) until you get something that's really rare, like a 5-star beastie or a god.  Great starters include Ancient/Chaos Dragon Knight, Isis, Horus, Great Valkyrie, Amaterasu, Bastet, Odin, and plenty of others.  Feel free to ask!

Also this is pretty addicting.

Edit: Save scumming for Bastet (because cat ears) when suddenly Chaore shows up as a helper.

Huh, going to the Play Store tells me the product can't be found.
Can someone help a bro up and share an .apk here? It's freemium, so that should be okay, I guess.

I wouldn't know about this game specifically but I've been using a Chrome add-on to play an iOS freemium game.

I noticed that I'm getting an absurd number of friend requests, and considering how I have a tendency to just randomly pick whoever has a humanoid looking leader I'm not surprised. Got a Naga with my second roll. Starting to feel the difficulty right before the darkness dragon; 'zat about normal?

also should I be constantly trying to level Minerva or is she alright as is?

Don't worry about leveling her until you get access to pengdras.

Metal dragons give big chunks of XP.  That's their only real use.  (1000 xp per)

There's also High , King, and Super King Metal Dragons.  There are one for every color.  I would use the Metals on your Dark guys and Golds on your Light guys, but if you come across the limited dungeons that give Emerald/Ruby/Sapphire Dragons, try to save them - you'll want them for pengras later.

Basically, Pengdras will take very little (~2500) experience to max level, then you can evolve them with a dragon plant and two of the corresponding color dragon.  This evolution turns them into a High Pengdra which gives 30000 base experience and is the most efficient means of leveling your dudes at the game's midway point.

Just rolled my first god from the REM, and it's Yomi. Guess I'll aim for a mono-dark team later on, though I would really like to get Loki or Persephone first...

I'd do this savescumming thing but the updates took me a while. Turning on Data install isn't going to save me time on a reinstall would it?

The Android SDK appears to let me emulate the system on my computer. If I play off that, I may be able to do rerolls more quickly.

Amaterasu is the best healer in the game when she's evolved (and not a bad one before then).  Keep her.

So double sylph combo is hillarious on water dungeons.

Other than that, I'm starting to realize I may need more monster boxes eventually, especially if I plan to keep a full team+then some.

But thats stones not spent towards rare eggs which is >:

Yeeeeah, it sucks but you're going to want to spend a LOT of stones on boxes.

I have ~85 boxes right now and they're usually close to full.

this kills the rabbit

Hopefully I can get my next spin something not a sylph and then start getting boxes.
