EoSD vsync

How? I can't get the vsync patch to work with this game. I've already applied it to PCB and I love it, but EoSD brings up an error box.

What do I need to rename my .exe to, and do I need to change my .dat files as well, by any chance?

Rename it to 東方紅魔郷.exe and launch vpatch.exe with Applocale.

I assume the language would be Japanese (the bottom option in Applocale)? Still, nothing happened. I put the new name on my english patched EoSD, ran applocale on the vpatch application.

Oh yes, I retextured it too with the hitbox patch, if that makes any difference.

Topic hijack, but I can't get the patch working at all.
EoSD(the english patched one) is renamed to 東方紅魔郷(tried both that and .exe), I have the language pack installed, launching it in japanese applocale, got vpatch.exe, vpatch_th06.dll and vpatch.ini in the EoSD folder....

When I try launching it, it throws a vpatch error in japanese, with "DLL Injection" in there and it launches EoSD at the same time.

Anything I'm doing wrong? Any files missing/launching the wrong file? For PCB, it simply throws out an error(renamed to 東方妖々夢, tried .exe too)

Hitbox patch would make no difference, Milkyway.

I'm not sure why the hell you're renaming it to add an extra .exe at the end. It's either you see the file extension or not.
Also the only one supposed to be in japanese is EoSD. Name all the others th**.exe, in this case th07.exe.

The rest of the problems I'm like "wat is goin on lol"

Same thing with PCB now, throws out the same DLL injection thing....
Which files do actually need to be in the game folder? Only the .exe, .dll and .ini?

That did it! I forgot to take the ".exe" off the renamed file.

Thanks for the help! ;D

How exactly can I see if the game was patched?
Moved the folders into C:\, and when I started the patch, no errors, it just ran the game(and EoSD mysteriously runs at 60 fps instead of 62 now)

The problem was my stupid IRL name which has characters which don't get recognized by some apps.

Still, it's not enough to stop me from clipping 2 stupid attacks before Patchouli and losing my final one to Silent Selene.
