Hoooo, boy, one month left for Onepunch-man.

I read somewhere that the first episode could be watched on NicoNico, I'll check that.

Hype levels rising.

Slightly surprised they revealed voice actors for some of the characters shown. Unless I'm mistaken some of the ones shown A: Hardly have any lines at all and B: Don't show up for quite a long time. [Although I dunno what sort of pacing the adaptation will have]

I don't even remember who put the above in my sig. [Wasn't me] Nor do I understand why I keep it here anymore.
Those two facts sum me up pretty well.

Nanoha A's last night, enjoyed it enough but it still felt a little like it was dragging on slightly at times like with the first series. Might watch the two movie versions before moving on to StrikerS but I'm not sure. Want to get to Vivid, could still be a while yet...

Um, also up to Aikatsu! ep.83. Just rewatching occasionally, might watch an ep or 2 one day then nothing for a week then 10 eps one night then nothing again for a while. Nothing consistent.

Dandelion still <3

Illya Zwei Herz, getting a bad feeling on where this is going.
Spoiler:
Really don't want to loose good Kuro/Chloe <3
and [Drei thing]
Spoiler:
accidentally saw a page from Drei with Illya using Sapphire so like what? and aww now I'm worried for Miyu and Kuro.

If you felt that the anime was dragging on, then yeah the movies will be a better experience, especially the first one.

Vivid, I'd say watch it only if you plan on reading the manga afterward, because it ends way too suddenly.

Got to and finished Nanoha StrikerS much, much quicker than I expected, 15 eps last night then the rest today. Really disliked a lot of it and it was hard to watch through at several points, especially the last quarter. Found myself yelling at characters to do/not to do something a few too many times >.> And also a bit too violent and cruel for my liking, even more than the first series but it still had some good moments at least. Liked the new four too, and all the returning characters roles but noticeable lack of Arf. Fate and Vivio are adorable though. And I learned you shouldn't piss off Nanoha holy hell.

So anyway, finally off to start Vivid! Maybe... not enough time left to watch it all tonight.

If you felt that the anime was dragging on, then yeah the movies will be a better experience, especially the first one.

Vivid, I'd say watch it only if you plan on reading the manga afterward, because it ends way too suddenly.
I'll watch the movies sometime later on, I too expect they'll be more enjoyable being condensed. Hopefully.
As for Vivid, thanks, I prolly will then.

Edito: Nanoha Vivid was mostly great. Not sure if I'll start reading it, don't think I'd enjoy reading it much. Prolly just wait for the next season.

So I just finished Cross Ange after watching it on a dare by a friend who'd forced himself through it while it came out.

I have to admit, for all it's stupidity and weirdness at points, it was actually a fun ride. I had fun making fun of it and I'd totally do it again if it got a sequel, haha.

I actually got the better end of the deal though. My condition for watching it was that my friend had to watch Soukyuu no Fafner (never again).

Apparently, Thomas the Tank Engine isn't one to take crap from anyone.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOKkkkkkkkk... oi my head
I just finished the manga of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. It's been on my list for awhile but I finally got around to it. That was the biggest brainsktuttlefunkit I've ever experienced. Stuff just kept getting weirder and weirder and more bizarre and bizarre until logic itself actually broke apart along with my head. They fixed things somewhat in the end though. My head still remains broken. At the same time, oddly enough, I didn't for one moment doubt the writers, like they were pulling stuff out of their asses, maybe it's because I give CLAMP slack for making CCS, but things felt inevitable in a way. Now I need to go read the wiki to ground myself in reality and make sure it wasn't all a hallucination.
And then I'll start xxxHolic and the sequel of TRC.

e: Ugh I'm an idiot, why'd I reread CCS again? It's been several years, I don't even remember when I last read it, but I should have known that I'd be tied down to the feels train track. Inception style. Oh no, this is really counterproductive to productivity. Why why why. It's like trying to rush a hangover

Just finished Domu: A Child's Dream at the recommendation of my roommate. It was technically well-written and drawn, but I just really don't care about psychic powers that much. I've never been able to get much into Akira for the some reason. I recognize Katsuhiro Otomo's craftsmanship, but his subject matter is not  my bag. I think roommate was hoping my interest in horror manga would mean I would love this and he could use it to springboard me into Akira, but I'm not even sure I would call Domu horror. It moves along very, very quickly and most of the terrible stuff gets breezed past in action sequences or happens far afield offscreen. It probably didn't help that I was reading the 1996 Dark Horse translation, which is reverse printed and I kept getting turned around and trying to read backward. Definitely a fine story, probably worth looking at if you like Akira and can find it, not for me.

Also been slowly crawling my way through Noir, and as it goes along it's gone from pretty good to near-excellent. For being such a slow show it really doesn't waste a lot of time. After the first handful of episodes it doesn't really have filler. Every episode contributes to either the plot or the characters in a lasting way. The action sequences tend to be very similar, with most of them just being a showcase of the numerous ways the two leads can fight their way out of being cornered by armies of hitmen over and over, but at least the writers are still coming up with cool new ways for  teenage girls to kill a room full of goons. I'm definitely going to at least try Bee Train's followup series, although I know conventional wisdom is that they're not as good. I loooove Requiem For The Phantom though, so they're 2/2 so far in my book.
I made a PADHerder. It's probably out of date though.

Having more or less wrapped up all of the authors I was working on during my tour of horror manga, I just started reading Hideshi Hino this afternoon. I started with Panorama Of Hell, which is really something. It's one of the grimiest, grossest things I've ever read. It made me feel genuinely unclean. Still not sure what my impression of it is, I haven't decided if I like it or not yet. And that experience is surely worth enough to justify reading at least a few more of his books. If I do that, maybe I can get a better idea of what he's about and that will help me decide what I think of this book. But at any rate, I think I'm going to take a shower now.

I just re-watched Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Rebellion (for like the fifth time), and if you're one of those forsaken souls who hates that movie, please watch it again. I was watching it with a guy who had seen it before and didn't like it, and he loved it after a re-watch. It seems like that's pretty consistently true as long as you go into it with anything approaching an open mind. It could definitely be considered a flaw of the movie that it's structured in a way that makes it more enjoyable on subsequent viewings, but as someone who loved it the first time I swear I like it even more every time. It is genuinely one of my favorite movies at this point.

Season two when? Please season two. Please Urobuchi, give me this.

Owari is amazingly polished, confident and engaging atm, even as a standalone arc the only premier comparable this season would be Perfect Insider, and if you haven't been watching Monogatari before id highly recommend diving in. While obviously the more complete experience would be starting from the beginning, Monogatari has always been episodic enough that it can take a while to hook you on, but I feel that Owari centres exclusively around previously underdeveloped characters anyway and even as a standalone it has a masterful control of the atmosphere and is a very impressively articulated show

Madhouse OPM is amazing, but that pretty much goes without saying since everything by madhouse is amazing, except mahouka.

About Owarimonogatari, I'm not sure. Might be confusing watching the show and not knowing the cast and stuff, more than it is usually. Add in the fact that Nisio's dialogue can get on people's nerves if they're not eased into it, and... I think I'd still suggest starting from the beginning.

But if you've brought up Perfect Insider, I dropped it because the director did an atrocious job. Every single scene juggled the same two perspectives over and over again. Couldn't even make it through the entire thing. :V

Just got around to finishing Everyday Life With Monster Girls. It was fine. Mostly fun and harmless, it got a little too raunchy for me one or two times an episode, but for a Japanese sex comedy that's not bad.

The last episode is basically just a string of references, and there's an overt yukkuri at one point.
I made a PADHerder. It's probably out of date though.

My heart has died 5 times over watching this the first time.
Haven't watched the ep yet but I'm really excited to. Rewatched the first season the week before in anticipation, had forgotten just how much I liked it. In addition to new Yuru Yuri it should be fun times this season.
Haven't looked at anything else.

Also, Illya 2wei Herz special 1, whilst 95% fan-service type thing gave me that same sort of reaction. Watched it over a couple times and damn the end is super cute and <3 Could well be the only good one of the 5 though so I'll see how that turns out >_>

Edit: Hmm, I'm half and half on the first ep. Didn't care much for the OP or ED either *shrug*
I'll rewatch it later in the week, might change my mind.

Oh yeah, bonus points to Cocoa bribing Sharo.
But now I've got the OP and ED from season 1 stuck in my head... somehow from S2 OP and ED. Got Wonder Stella out for now though >_>

Perfect insider was grinding, yes, but I actually felt the execution was believable, and portrayed rather well the kind of insecurity and cynicism that plagues that kind of people in general

Kyoani doing koe no katachi is something I am actually not sure about :v, I mean, yeah, they have fluid animation but their house Moe style may not work for that type of story, and chu2ren was a pretty big flop imo

That said though! Euph was a joy to watch, and so was hyoka, so I am excited to see if they can pull off a similar one, fingers crossed on that one
