This version lags once in a few seconds and the font is all gibberish. It's weird but mostly unplayable.

Aside from the new stage that I haven't tried, and the gibberish + random lag, there also seem to be slight changes to some patterns. Played a practice stage 6 run and I noticed that there was a little ring of bullets added to Mikoto's 3rd nonspell, the safespot on Mikoto's last spell is gone (Big Fairies spawn from the sides and shoot aimed bubbles at you), Fairies are a lot easier to kill on the first 3 spells, and they may have made the first nonspell doable, though that probably was just luck on my side.

I'll play some more to check for more changes.

Edit: There's a life limit now, no more infinilives :V

Megumi's midboss spell now shoots 3 arrowheads per white bubble instead of 2, and the survival spell has way less sudden phase changes. making it way easier imo.

The stage 3 midboss now has a different cut-in, and the bubble fairies on stage 3 now also shoot purple bullets

These just look like last words to me.
The ones from the final boss and the extra boss remain locked for me for some reason.

Also the way to fix the random lag is to play the game in Japanese locale, either through system config or Applocale. Doesn't fix the gibberish though.

They seem pretty interesting if you ask me.  Oh and by the way Jaimers, Megumi has different spellcards for Sanae and Marisa as well.  From what I've seen Sanae's seems like the most interesting of all, but then again I guess having freaky shottypes and weird spellcards are her gimmick in this game, heh.

I managed to capture Marisa's. Megumi's lifebar is hilariously tiny in that one, it takes literally less than two seconds to deplete it. Plus she stops shooting when you get close.

Sanae's though...just ugh. I get the way it works, but there's no way I can really read that. It's a complete mindfuck.

I captured Sanae's at 20 FPS just so the game would think I captured all of them, since I have all the others legitimately. I wanted to see if that was how Mikoto's and Otohime's were unlocked. It wasn't.

Edit: Just captured it legitimately, so that rules out slowdown in the captures too.


Significant edit: So I noticed that for some strange reason, unlike in Jaimers' video, the text in my game's Omniverse thing actually isn't gibberish, it's Japanese.

So I made a bunch of screencaps, so hopefully the names will get translated and even more hopefully there'll be a clue in there somewhere about how to get the last two. Use however you want.

The names were all posted on the official site's list of spell cards when the new update was first released. Mikoto's and Otohime's spell cards haven't been inserted yet, which is why you can't access them.

Regarding the gibberish, it's definitely some sort of encoding problem. If AppLocale doesn't work, perhaps try changing the system locale and rebooting.

Oof. That was from when I was pretending to be male online so I'd avoid the bullshit openly female people online have to put up with, a phase I'm not proud of in retrospect.

Anyone who has trouble, don't forget that this server likes to drop connections during download, so if your file sizes don't match the promised size at beginning of dl, do it over again. I'm getting new version now... hopefully it'll work better on my PC that can't run the old version without breaking the other PC that can run it.

Well on this (could run it) PC, with AppLocale (changing locale in Win8 causes issues unlike 7 where I can leave it on Jpn all the time), text is messed, but it seems to run okay. It also runs smoothly in fullscreen now, whereas before it would get 40fps even in the menu. But when in fullscreen it doesn't show the backgrounds now, so I still have to use window anyway. Will try other PC which couldn't and is Japanese locale tomorrow.

Update: I get 60fps on my other PC now too! I didn't try a whole game, but previously it would lag any time more than 5 fairies were on screen, and no longer. Text also works properly in true Japanese locale.

I tried this patch. All I can say is, I'm absolutely in love with Kasumi's Omniverse, even if the trick is simple once you learn it.

Also, Megumi's Omniverse with Marisa made me laugh slightly.

Can't wait to see what Mikoto's and Otohime's Omniverses are like.
