Fortune Summoners - Carpe Fulgur's third project

Today is the day that the game finally comes out: http://store.steampowered.com/app/203510/

Anyways, to summarize this one up - Fortune Summoners is a 2d side scrolling action rpg with platforming elements mixed in - and its combat might as well be a primitive version of Arkham Asylum where button mashing is punished hard because the AI does it better than you. Basically, all the moves you get need you to time the buttons correctly in a way that lets you attack properly otherwise you just do a crappy attack that contributes almost nothing. Or you'll fail to dodge properly and get punished badly.

Now on to the story. The game follows the story of a girl named Arche who recently moved into a new town from her hometown with her parents. The new town has a problem - the only school there is a magic school and there's a worse problem - the magic school requires a magic stone that she doesn't have! So she sets off to find one, and that's where the adventure truly begins...

Did I mention that this entire game was a one-person effort by Lizsoft? Yes, the entire game was made all by one man himself! Too bad Fortune Summoners was a commerical failure in Japan apparently, though, as I would have liked to see a few more games from Lizsoft.

Enough about that - the website is here: http://www.carpefulgur.com/fs/. I'm linking this one because the steam store forgot the demo, so you will have to get that one from the website.

I will note that the game is currently on sale for 25% off and is $15 for the launch week. After that it will go back to $20.
