In all seriousness, we could try to interrupt their conversation somehow (shouting, touching one of them on the shoulder, etc.), but that'd probably irritate the both of them and make them less receptive to any form of conversation, let alone inquiry.
Maybe we could fly over the blockage?
And of course, there's the possibility of finding another way, but we don't know the town like others do, so that's probably a last resort.

Just thinking in text.
