RECAP FOR NEWCOMERS:
>You are Maribel Hearn.
>You are 19 years old, and was a student in a university in Kyoto, Japan. You are not like most humans, you possess the power to see and manipulate boundaries, and that power is growing quickly over the years. Over time you have learned to create tears in boundaries, and, just recently, you learned how to create gaps, which are like tears, except far more stable and easier to maintain.
>Several days ago, you and your best friend, Renko Usami, finally entered Gensokyo. During your stay, you learned to (somewhat) fly and shoot danmaku. There was also an incident involving Renko, a shrine maiden named Reimu Hakurei, and an archangel by the name of Sariel, that left Reimu severely injured, and Renko facing pending judgement. However, there were a couple of good things that came out of this as well... You managed to find Renko's long-lost sister: Sumireko Usami. And you and Renko confessed your love for each other. This happiness was short, as you were sent home by Yukari Yakumo, a youkai you befriended during your visit, due to something about your powers developing.
>Two days ago, you returned to Gensokyo against Yukari's wishes. You soon reunited with Renko, and witnessed Sumireko awaken from her coma. Unfortunately, Sumireko didn't seem entirely right in the head, and she escaped, injuring a rabbit by the name of Reisen in the process. You wanted to pursue her, but were stopped by Yukari, who sent you back to the outside world, promising to resolve the issue. When you were outside the barrier, a youkai by the name of YuugenMagan approached you, having slipped undetected through Yukari's gap. Together, the two of you went through Makai and returned to Gensokyo, where you began to search for Sumireko on your own. Along the way you met up with Marisa Kirisame and Renko. And met a lonely youkai named Rengeteki, whom you promised to come back for. You met with Yukari again soon after, who revealed that she was your mother, and has only been acting in what she sees as your best interests. She then let you go, and your group, escorted by a cat youkai named Chen, and sans Marisa, soon found Sumireko. Whom YuugenMagan promptly possessed, revealing her true motives. She then revealed that Sumireko was fused with an angel, whose name you later learned was Matenshi, and then used her powers to destroy Sariel and her counterpart, Uriel. After getting Sumireko and Matenshi to resist YuugenMagan's influence, you destroyed her, freeing them from her control.
>You, Renko, Sumireko (And Matenshi, by extension.), and Chen were then called by Yukari to the Netherworld, where you met her friend Yuyuko and her servant, Youmu. After a large dinner, you discussed with Yukari about deciding to become a youkai. You decided that you will stay in Gensokyo long enough to find a way to separate Sumireko and Matenshi, and then leave to allow your powers to mature in the outside world. You then all went to Yukari's home, where you and Renko fell asleep for the night....
>You had a nightmare involving YuugenMagan. You then noticed visuals of her in the morning, but you and Renko dismissed this as the nightmare still affecting you. You then read the newspaper and learned of an incident involving the kidnapping of young women from the human village overnight.
>You then went to the Scarlet Devil Mansion to look for a solution to Sumireko and Matenshi's problem. Encountering the fairy, Cirno, and her friends along the way. After a brief interaction, you continued to the mansion, where you met with Patchouli knowledge, who told you of a book that may or may not help with the problem.
>You then went to Marisa's house and retrieved the book in question from her. There, you also met Mima. You considered having yourself and Renko become apprentices under Mima, but you have yet to make a decision on this.
>You then went to check on Rengeteki, whom you learned was being targeted by someone from her past, and that her house had been ransacked in an attempt to find her. You also highly suspect a link between this and the incident from the paper, as Rengeteki said soothing music was present. After calming her down, you took her to Eientei to see if anything could be done about injuries she received long ago. Unfortunately, the medical examination hurt her, making her afraid to continue.
>In Eientei, you also met Sanae Kochiya, whom you quickly befriended. You decided to help her investigate the incident. You then briefly went to her shrine, where you met her "family". There, you also learned that Koishi's family is worried about her.
>Afterwards, you and your group went to the Misty Lake to find the home of a group known as the Prismrivers, who are suspected to be possible witnesses of Rengeteki's house being ransacked. After a brief run-in with Cirno's group, you located the mansion. While you were visiting, Renko was abducted by two of the Prismrivers, and you and Sanae managed to beat the third one, Lyrica, whom you sent to the netherworld for her own safety after a brief interrogation.
>In your efforts to find Renko, Rengeteki led you to a cave, where you met Layla Prismriver, the mastermind behind the current incident and the attacks on Rengeteki. After a conflict, you learned that Rin Satsuki, Rengeteki's lost love, is still alive. With Alice's help, you managed to get Rin a more stable body. However, despite all of this, Layla got away, and wiped the memory of her sisters.
>You then briefly tracked down Rin's old home, where she was able to salvage a few belongings. In the process, you met Rikako Asakura, who was studying the area. She also dropped a flash drive as she was leaving, which you intend to return to her the next time you meet.
>After parting ways with Rengeteki and Rin, you, with Renko's help, tracked Koishi's location to the Myouren Temple, where you met Kyouko Kasodani and promised to watch her concert with Mystia at midnight. You also met Byakuren Hijiri, who informed you that Koishi was meditating and did not wish to be disturbed. Utsuho Reiuji, a member of Koishi's family, showed up a few minutes later, and after a brief non-violent conflict, agreed to wait with you.
>During your stay in the temple, you learned of a rumored youkai sighted in the mountains near the Hakurei Shrine that could possibly help with Sumireko and Matenshi's situation, as well as help you determine whether or not YuugenMagan is still alive.
>You then investigated the area in question, with the oni Suika Ibuki tagging along, and met ShinGyoku, the youkai of the rumors. You then ventured into a blocked off cavern and ended up in Jigoku, a long abandoned section of hell. In here, you met Kikuri, a youkai trapped within a giant bronze disc, as well as Konngara, a friend of ShinGyoku and Kikuri's master. Konngara was also tending to an crippled human named Meira, whom you never really interacted with.
>During your brief stay down there, you learned that Rumia and Kikuri were once lovers, and that Konngara was the one who sealed her away, due to the actions she took in an attempt to save Kikuri. Eventually, you left to see Mystia and Kyouko perform, but not before unfusing Sumireko and Matenshi with ShinGyoku's assistance.
>After the concert, you and your party spent the night in the Myouren Temple, where you had another nightmare, or rather a memory, involving YuugenMagan, which seemed to imply she and Rumia had worked together in the past, before the latter was sealed.
>After finding Koishi in the morning, you went to her home in the Underground, where you met her sister and watched as they reconnected with each other. You then helped Koishi return Kokoro's mask and start a friendship with her. After sending them off to Koishi's home, you went to check on Rengeteki and Rin, where you received a letter from Yukari asking you to go on a grocery run.
>Later, at the human village, you ran into a girl named Chiyuri, who seemed to be in distress. After learning some minimal information from her, you went somewhere private and plugged Rikako Asakura's flash drive into your laptop. It was then you uncovered a plot to destroy magic. You quickly informed Yukari, but she didn't seem particularly concerned about it, to your utter annoyance.
>After returning to Yukari's home, you decide to take the rest of the evening to rest. After a night of experimenting with your powers, and one nightmare interrupted sleep, you find yourself still in Yukari's house, trying to deal with an owl that you (indirectly) nearly killed the night before.

>QUESTS: MENTAL NOTES:
>[COMPLETE] You were forced to leave without Renko. You resolved to return. Now you've returned to Gensokyo and reunited with Renko.
>[COMPLETE] Did ya get that thing I sent ya?: You've repaid Kagerou for her assistance in finding Renko.
>[COMPLETE] You told Rengeteki you would come back and "help her no matter what." And intend to follow up on this. You recently discovered she is being targeted by someone from her past. After a brief conflict, you resolved an incident and managed to reunite Rengeteki with her long lost love.
>[COMPLETE] Two's a crowd: You separated Sumireko and Matenshi.
>[COMPLETE] Koishi and her sister (The now-open-eyed Koishi feels very uneasy about meeting with her sister Satori. We promised to come with her as moral support.)
>You never knew what Sumireko was doing in Gensokyo. You would like to investigate this further.
>You wanted to find out if Yukari could be your mother, and if she wasn't, then you wanted to ask if she knows her whereabouts. Since then, you have learned that Yukari is indeed your mother, but that still leaves some questions unanswered.
>Judgement: Explain things to Reimu, Mamizou, and Marisa, hopefully having them understand. Enlisting Yukari's help would be really great for this.
>You recall wanting to ask Alice about the Marisa doll in her cellar...
>You want to eventually attempt to make the largest gap that you can, so that you can get more information about your power growth and report it to Yukari.
>You want to go to Kourindou eventually.
>YuugenMagan's shade ( A faint remains of this incorporeal betrayer still reside within us, tormenting us with strange and creepy dreams and sometimes even briefly taking control over our body. We need to come on terms with her or find a way to exorcise her completely.)
>Rumia & Kikuri matters (Rumia's friend Kikuri is trapped within arifact known as "Hell moon", while Rumia herself went berserk from loss but was stopped and had most of her power and memory sealed to prevent relapse. We were touched by this story and decided to help them both.)
>Rikako's flash drive - You've read it and uncovered a shocking plot! You should probably put a stop to it...
>Finding Layla - You think you should find Layla Prismriver again to convince her to drop her current life and move on to a better future like Rengeteki and Koishi did, as well as convince her to destroy or at least sever the link between the Baton and her sisters.
>Patterns for Dummies - You wish to improve your danmaku skills
>You want to retrieve some embarrassing pictures of you and Renko from Aya...
>You have not added anything else.

Merry 2:
>Back up and undo the gaps.
>You do so. You feel your energy return to you.
>The owl is just sitting there, bobbing its head and looking at you.
>Check on the owls wounds now.
>They're healed it seems.
>_
-
>Locate the door visually from here.
>"Uh..."
>Point and motion towards there.
>"You can leave?"
-
>Locate the door visually from here.
>"Uh..."
>Point and motion towards there.
>"You can leave?"
>The owl turns its head completely around and then turns it back to you.
>It hoots and tilts its head.
>_

>Ponder boundaries again...
>Try to locate a boundary between language. Be it Human and Animal, or understandable and not-understandable.
-
>Ponder boundaries again...
>Try to locate a boundary between language. Be it Human and Animal, or understandable and not-understandable.
>Both of those boundaries are valid.
>_
-
>Try the latter, towards understandable.
-
>Try the latter, towards understandable.
>For you or the owl?
>_
-
>For the owl.
-
>For the owl.
>You do so...
>_
-
>"Hello?"
-
>"Hello?"
>The owl tilts its head and hoots a couple times, however, your mind seems to translate it.
>"Are you going to trick me again tiny-but-now-large-person?"
>"D-Did the bird just talk!?" Chen asks.
>_
-
>"Ah! I can understand you. I'm really sorry about that weird fiasco! It wasn't meant to happen!"
-
>"Ah! I can understand you. I'm really sorry about that weird fiasco! It wasn't meant to happen!"
>The owl hoots. You understand it as "So you meant to stay small and be food...?"
>_
-
>"No. I didn't mean to look like food at all."
-
>"No. I didn't mean to look like food at all."
>The owl turns its head sideways, "Eh...?"
-
>"Why would I want to be eaten? How would that benefit me?"
-
>"Why would I want to be eaten? How would that benefit me?"
>"Um... Because if you get eaten, the stronger food related to you gets to live and make more food, while if they get eaten instead you might die before you have a chance to make more food?"
>_
-
>"Uh huh... Well instead of that I can grow my own food and feed them with that instead. But anyways, you can leave now. I won't do another trick unprovoked, and you can get back to nature."
-
>"Uh huh... Well instead of that I can grow my own food and feed them with that instead. But anyways, you can leave now. I won't do another trick unprovoked, and you can get back to nature."
>"You grow food!?!" The owl does a silly looking hop in place.
>_
-
>"We people can do a lot of incredible things. One of the simpler things is using the seeds of certain previous food to, over time and with the right conditions, grow more of that food."
-
>"We people can do a lot of incredible things. One of the simpler things is using the seeds of certain previous food to, over time and with the right conditions, grow more of that food."
>"Oooooh... Do you have any mouse seeds?" the owl tilts its head, "The stupid cats keep eating them all and leave none for me..."
>"I'm standing right here..." Chen frowns.
>_
-
>We're Merry 2, correct? The original is still in bed with Renko?
>"Certain foods. Unfortunately, meat and creatures usually aren't included in that. Though, if you cooperate with me, we might be able to get you something... What do you normally eat?"
-
>We're Merry 2, correct? The original is still in bed with Renko?
>"Certain foods. Unfortunately, meat and creatures usually aren't included in that. Though, if you cooperate with me, we might be able to get you something... What do you normally eat?"
>Correct.
>"Mice and rats, sometimes a rabbit or sparrow if I'm lucky. Though it's been so long that I'll try anything easy enough to catch."
>_
-
>Turn to one of the humans. Or, well, humanoids.
>"Could I have some meat? Just a bit?"
-
>Turn to one of the humans. Or, well, humanoids.
>"Could I have some meat? Just a bit?"
>"Human or nonhuman?" Yukari asks nonchalantly.
>_
-
>Blink.
>"Nonhuman, please..."
-
>Blink.
>You blink. Did she really just--
>"I'm kidding." Yukari smirks slightly.
>"Nonhuman, please..."
>"Chen, fetch some meat please."
>"Fish or beef?" Chen asks
>"What's a fish? Or a beef?" The owl tilts its head.
>_
-
>"Fish is an animal that swims in water. Beef is usually land based."
-
>"Fish is an animal that swims in water. Beef is usually land based."
>"Oh...."
>_
-
>"So?"
-
>"So?"
>"I guess I'll grab both..." Chen leaves the room.
>_
-
>"Well, this can work too."
-
>"Well, this can work too."
>"What can?" the owl hoots.
>_
-
>"Food, maybe."
-
>"If you still want it."
-
>"Food, maybe."
>"If you still want it."
>"I do want it."
>_
-
>Wait for the meat...
>Or until something happens with the original Merry.
-
>Wait for the meat...
>Or until something happens with the original Merry.
>You wait...
>Chen returns with a small plate, half of it is fish, while the other half is red meat.
>_
-
>Once she sets it down or keeps it still, try to duplicate the fish, using the boundary of single and double.
-
>Once she sets it down or keeps it still, try to duplicate the fish, using the boundary of single and double.
>Which one? There is already three on the plate.
>_
-
>Are any of them different?
>If not, any is fine.
-
>Are any of them different?
>If not, any is fine.
>One is slightly smaller, and another is slightly larger, when compared to the third one.
>_
-
>Pick whichever we think is best for the owl.
-
>Pick whichever we think is best for the owl.
>You duplicate the smallest one.
>_
-
>Hand it to the owl.
-
>Hand it to the owl.
>The owl examines it.
>"It's not a trick, right? Miss No-Longer-Tiny-Tiny-Human?"
>_
-
>"I'll prove it then."
>Take a bite out of the duplicate.
-
>"I'll prove it then."
>Take a bite out of the duplicate.
>You take a bite of raw fish. Scales, bones and all...
>_
-
>Briefly feel bad that our judgement
(Other players) isn't completely in check right now...
>"M-Maybe just the meat parts of it... And cooking it first..."
>How does the owl seem to be reacting?
-
>Briefly feel bad that our judgement (Other players) isn't completely in check right now...
>"M-Maybe just the meat parts of it... And cooking it first..."
>How does the owl seem to be reacting?
>You hope you don't get sick from this...
>"What's a cooking?" The owl tilts its head 90 degrees, "Can you eat it?"
>_
-
>"Cooking is heating up food. Making it hotter so it tastes better, usually. It's more complicated than that though."
-
>"Cooking is heating up food. Making it hotter so it tastes better, usually. It's more complicated than that though."
>"How does heat make things taste good...?"
>_
-
>"I suppose you'll see. Maybe."
-
>"I suppose you'll see. Maybe."
>The owl tilts its head.
>_
-
>"Can we cook this? Yukari?"
-
>"Can we cook this? Yukari?"
>"I personally wouldn't recommend the boundary of 'raw and cooked', since it just doesn't taste the same..." she looks up, "or do you mean actually cooking it?"
>There is a clattering sound, followed by string of obscenities from the kitchen.
Merry:
>Once again you hear noise...
>_
-
>"Actually cooking."
Merry:
>"Mmm..."
>Stir.
-
>"Actually cooking."
>"Ah."
Merry:
>"Mmm..."
>Stir.
Merry:
>You begin to stir.
>_
-
> "So?"
-
> "So?"
Merry 2:
>"I don't mind." Yukari replies, "Though do note that the kitchen is currently occupied..."
>The obscenities turn to shouting, you can faintly make out Sumireko screaming "HOW ON EARTH DID YOU MANAGE TO SET COLD MILK ON FIRE!?!"
Merry:
>The noise is starting to make Renko stir now.
>_
-
Merry 2:
>Peek in
Merry:
> Hug Renko a bit.
-
Merry 2:
>Peek in
Merry:
> Hug Renko a bit.
Merry 2:
>You peek in.
>It looks like a bomb went off in here. Sumireko and Matenshi are currently trying to extinguish a bowl of milk that's currently in flames. There's also a frying pan somehow stuck to the ceiling and the front of Matenshi's outfit and wings are covered in soot.
>"W-Where's the fire extinguisher!?"
>"Can't you just throw it in water?!"
Merry:
>You display your affection.
>_
-
>Look for a fire extinguisher.
>"U-Uh, what happened in here?"
-
>Look for a fire extinguisher.
>"U-Uh, what happened in here?"
>You see none
>Both of them jump at the sound of your voice.
>"I-I'm trying to teach her how to cook!" Sumireko shouts panickedly, "U-Uh.... oxygen! Deprive it of oxygen! Matenshi! Get something to smother the flame!"
>Matenshi responds by grabbing the nearest pan and slamming it over the bowl.
>There is a muffled explosion sound.
>"Again..." Sumireko pants as she gives Matenshi an incredulous stare, "How!? Just.... HOW!?!?! Did you manage to set cold milk on fire!?!" she blinks, "A-And make it explode!?!" she adds.
>Matenshi responds with a sheepish shrug.
Merry:
>Renko suddenly sits up.
>"W-What was that noise!?"
>_
-
Merry:
> "Something's... ah..."
Merry 2:
>"This is Gensokyo... I guess that's not the most impossible thing..."
-
Merry:
> "Something's... ah..."
>"W-What's wrong?" Renko's expression grows concerned.
Merry 2:
>"This is Gensokyo... I guess that's not the most impossible thing..."
>"S-Still!" Sumireko says exasperatedly.
>"I guess I'm a lethal chef?" Matenshi shrugs, "I mean it's not like I ever need to eat anyway..."
>"It's still a good skill to have..."
>_
-
Merry:
>"I think something's happening downstairs... Cooking..."
Merry 2:
>"I was going to try and cook a bit of fish..."
-
Merry:
>"I think something's happening downstairs... Cooking..."
>"That didn't really sound like cooking..."
Merry 2:
>"I was going to try and cook a bit of fish..."
>Both Sumireko and Matenshi step aside.
>"Go ahead." Sumireko sighs, "I think we've been in the kitchen enough for one day..."
>"Agreed." Matenshi nods.
>_
-
Merry:
>"Uh huh..."
Merry 2:
>"I'm not sure it's even in a state to..."
-
Merry:
>"Uh huh..."
Merry 2:
>"I'm not sure it's even in a state to..."
Merry:
>"Should we... um... check it out...?"
Merry 2:
>"Oh, we didn't touch the stove yet thank the gods," says Sumireko, "so you should be able to use it with no problems... I hope."
>_
-
Merry:
>"My other self is there."
Merry 2:
>"Alright..."
-
Merry:
>"My other self is there."
Merry 2:
>"Alright..."
Merry:
>"Oh."
Merry 2:
>Sumireko and Matenshi begin to leave the kitchen.
>_
-
Merry 2:
>Take the fish and cook it.
-
Merry 2:
>Take the fish and cook it.
>You begin cooking fish.
>_
-
Merry:
>"Should we... just get up?"
-
Merry:
>"Should we... just get up?"
>"Unless you want to stay like this a bit more." Renko replies.
>_
-
Merry:
>"I do."
-
Merry:
>"I do."
>Renko snuggles closer to you.
>"Alright."
Merry 2:
>You finish cooking.
>_
-
Merry:
>Return to comfort.
Merry 2:
>Undo the previous fish duplicate.
>Wait for it to cool down to edibility, then bring it to the owl.
-
Merry:
>Return to comfort.
>Bliss~
Merry 2:
>Undo the previous fish duplicate.
>Wait for it to cool down to edibility, then bring it to the owl.
>You...
>You forget which of the duplicated fish you were holding.
>_
-
> We only duplicated it once and took a bite out of the duplicate right? Did we seriously forget which one we should've cooked?
-
> We only duplicated it once and took a bite out of the duplicate right? Did we seriously forget which one we should've cooked?
>Now that you think about it, the duplicate was the one you were holding when you entered the kitchen.
>Checking the plate, you find that there is indeed a chunk missing.
>_
-
>Mental sigh.
>Return with the plate to the owl.
-
>Mental sigh.
>Return with the plate to the owl.
>You do so.
>You return. The owl studies you.
>_
-
> Hold the food out for it.
>"Try it."
-
> Hold the food out for it.
>"Try it."
>It cautiously moves towards your hand.
>"Not a trick, right?" it tilts its head up at you.
>_
-
>"It might taste a bit different, but it should be a good different."
-
>"It might taste a bit different, but it should be a good different."
>It slowly walks up, studying the fish for several moments, before snatching the fish and dragging it a few feet away.
>It places a talon on the fish and rips a chunk out of it with its beak.
>_
-
>Watch.
-
>Watch.
>The owl swallows the chunk, before beginning to consume the rest of the fish.
>_
-
> "Hm?"
-
> "Hm?"
>"It's good!" the owl screeches.
>_
-
> "Told you."
> Smug.
> "Now, you can't really stay in here unless you behave a lot and take orders from me. Since I don't think you'll want that, you can go outside and return to your life. We should be even with this."
-
> "Told you."
> Smug.
> "Now, you can't really stay in here unless you behave a lot and take orders from me. Since I don't think you'll want that, you can go outside and return to your life. We should be even with this."
>"Can I keep coming back for food?" The owl stops eating and bobs its head around while looking at you.
>_
-
> "No. Not exactly."
-
> "No. Not exactly."
>"Why?"
>_
-
>"First, that food wasn't entirely mine, so I can't just give away more later. I'd have to get my own food to eat to live, then I'd have to get more for you. Second, you haven't really done anything for me to make me want to give you more food. This was more of an apology about 'hey, I'm sorry I tricked you and you hit a tree.' Well, haven't done anything aside from try to eat me back then..."

>Consider... Speak to Yukari: "How... much does the taste deteriorate from normally if it's cooked magically, Yukari? Is it still better than uncooked?"

>[COMPLETE] Koishi and her sister (The now-open-eyed Koishi feels very uneasy about meeting with her sister Satori. We promised to come with her as moral support.)
>YuugenMagan's shade ( A faint remains of this incorporeal betrayer still reside within us, tormenting us with strange and creepy dreams and sometimes even briefly taking control over our body. We need to come on terms with her or find a way to exorcise her completely.)
>Rikako's flash drive - You've read it and uncovered a shocking plot! You should probably put a stop to it... YuugenMagan seemed to believe that stopping this was more important than our situation with herself.
>Patterns for Dummies - You wish to improve your danmaku skills
>You want to retrieve some embarrassing pictures of you and Renko from Aya...
>You can shoot basic danmaku, either single shots, spreads, or lasers. You have not attempted to make a spellcard yet, but you are aware of the existence of the spellcard system.
>You can create gaps, you have not found your upper limit yet.
>You can make gaps of different sizes. Larger ones are more costly
>You can see boundaries.
>You can make tears in boundaries.
>You've started experimenting with Temporal Boundaries.
>You've discovered the following boundaries, but have not done anything with them.
>>Self and Not Self
//Alright, so these are the more major/relevant things we should get to sooner than later...
> "Unfortunately, we can't... deal with you, right now. Whether that would be making you our pet and giving you food or outright telling you to get lost, or something else. We're too busy. So for now, you'll have to leave. It could be the more unpleasant way, or you could head back through that."
> Point to our gap.
-
>"So... I can come back later?" the owl asks.
>_
-
> "Maybe. Don't stick around waiting for that time, though."
> Briefly consider how we would look if we acted like our mother...
-
> "Maybe. Don't stick around waiting for that time, though."
> Briefly consider how we would look if we acted like our mother...
>"How far is sticking around?" the owl asks.

> Head out, search for Yukari. Ran, or Chen.
>"Y-Yeah." Renko nods, looking at the owl.
>You leave your other self with Renko and begin searching.
>Yukari is still at the table. Chen is in cat form, curled up on the stairs.

//Sort of trying to get a moment to talk with her about one of the mental notes. Renko's judgement. Though other things to discuss too.

// Was going to ask if she has done the two places at once thing
-
//Yea, other questions are fine, since I think the one I want should be saved for last.

>"How long will that take?" the owl tilts its head.
1:

1:
> "One last thing, can sensing a boundary affect it or is it always safe?"
-
//I know I said this was dead in my new quest, but after some convincing from a friend I have decided that the show must go on. Therefore I will continue this until the end of this act (I was planning on dropping the final planned act anyway, so this would've been the last act of Merry Quest regardless), or until you get a bad end (if applicable).
//The main reason I didn't want to continue this was the stagnation, caused by a loss of player variety, that overall lead to the plot slowing down exponentially to the point where it has become utterly boring to write. If new players would like to join in, it would be greatly appreciated and it would help advance progression back to its old rate.
--------------------------------------------------
2:

1:
> "One last thing, can sensing a boundary affect it or is it always safe?"
>"Sensing a boundary does not affect the boundary in any way. You're merely perceiving the boundary that's established there and its current state. "

// Yess an update! I really like the quest cause Merry and Yukari are two of my favorite characters
> Can we have a quick recap on why we are here and what we were planning to do?
//I'll leave this to another, preferably long established player, such as Neo (or Raf should he ever return.). As it's been well over a year since they stepped foot in this house and their motives for coming here are best remembered by them. IIRC they wished to merely rest before attempting to look for Rikako but I could be wrong given the obscene amount of time the plot has sat in this house...

// Excellent idea to check out potential coordinates in the flash-drive! However there are some related issues and reminders.
//" Gensokyo Map and Mapping" sounds like a nice Quest to add but there are likely to be only minor and very limited number of maps in the Human Village,Suzuunan Library included. It is still useful to visit it fairly soon for that, and intersting/weird news and event.
//No maps at the Yakumos and Netherworld... The Tengu Village is likely to have the best ones overall( Yamabushi Tengu and Daitengu ) and it is good to look into acquiring one if the chance arises but with as little exposition as possible(especially for Renko on parole, but also Maribel while Gapping) ; for now it is too far out up in a semi-isolationist area of Youkai Mountain even with the Moriya Shrine Cable Car , not enough leverage and connections (Yukari/Yakumos already justly denied helping to that extent for training )...
//So far the best mapping and research chances in general and about magically-strong and weak location are at the SDM Library,at least for acceptable partial one(s).
// Sooner or later we are bound to run into one and then multiple " people" to be on the look-out and back-upped for : Rikako,Rika(unrevealed),their drones,Chiyuri(blackmailed until we free hostage Yumemi ) on the prowl for the flash-drive and finder-keeper.
//Maribel and Renko interacted with Rikako, who found out that area to be lesser polluted (without mentioning magic) but not clean enough, and when she left(South) they found that one close by Rengenteki and Rin (and formerly Layla) recently re-inhabited, re-settling home ( the larger one,not Rengeteki's refuge in the Forest of Magic) by the same "Ringeteki" ( Rin and Rengeteki).
//Not only Maribel and Renko need to act oblivious, not suspicious and aware enough around them to possibly garner (mostly)scot-free info/directions/details but they also need to warn " Ringeteki" to do so since they are already involved to some extent and are going to be so anyway.
//Rikako's route to the secret base and sites goes South from there, investigation/trailing before it gets too cold is a must.
>Before heading in , gently grasp one of Renko's wrist and whisper : "We have to be careful by leaving the flash-drive here in a safe place and act totally oblivious about it,except the general knowledge of the device, since Rikako, her associate, including that poor blackmailed Chiyuri because of her professor being an hostage, must have realized it missing and are looking out for it personally and with drones".
>"So Rengeteki and Rin should be warned as well fairly soon ,so our trip here should be brief or even postponed and we should make a longer one later ,if you agree, since our interaction with Rikako, her research for "low magic-polluted area",her losing of that piece were close to their new, well old and new, home".
>Head in first, then poke our head out just enough to have a look around in every direction.
>Retreat if there's anything or anyone potentially dangerous/troublesome.
// If Renko, and any of us, agrees without any reasonable objection,I strongly advise to briefly check the outskirts here ,go to "Ringeteki's" and only come back to the Human Village when the business there is settled.
-
(//)> Actually, potentially scratch the Human Village for maps entirely. Why don't we just ask Yukari for a map?
-
// I think we have asked Yukari enough
-
//Well it's pester her more, or we go running around looking for a map and wasting time as Rikako's plan goes further and further.
-
// We don't really need a map, once it's night Renko can just tell us where to go with her ability, in addition to looking for a map I mainly wanted to see what's up in the human village and ask around if anything suspicious has happened
-
>Before heading in , gently grasp one of Renko's wrist and whisper : "We have to be careful by leaving the flash-drive here in a safe place and act totally oblivious about it,except the general knowledge of the device, since Rikako, her associate, including that poor blackmailed Chiyuri because of her professor being an hostage, must have realized it missing and are looking out for it personally and with drones".
>"So should we leave it here then?" Renko asks.
>"If you really think they're in danger, then we should warn them." Renko nods.
> Whatever, let's head in
//Well, I'll go along behind you Tom, as I've really just... died from the huge gap.
> Head in.
>Head in first, then poke our head out just enough to have a look around in every direction.

>_
-
> Anything/Anyone around?
-
> Anything/Anyone around?
>You see the human village a moderate distance away, as well as a few fairies hanging around out here in the ourskirts .
>_
-
>"Yes,after a fairly quick check out in the Village we should be on our way to warn them and investigate around their place... Unless you do have something more important on your mind before that,Renko?".
>While talking in a low enoigh tone, head to the Village while looking for anything or anyone that might be noteworthy, sticking out or even some fairly notable changes.
//It is true: if the leads and the pursuing of them hold out, then Renko's abilty should be enough.
//However I still advise to at least take useful annotations and commentaries in the case there's a need of important navigation/orientation during daytime, inside closed places or even underground.
//So,unless anyone has a better idea for the Human Village or a better loc.,I vote for just a quick visit here,a reminder to come back to check it out if there's anything interesting(unless it requires immediately due to "timed one with a risk of missing out ") and skip over to "Ringeteki's " place.
