Actually not far from the truth. The gay bars in Baltimore have the best dance music, and the best drink specials, usually. Just don't go to The Eagle unless your idea of a great night is drinking with a bunch of Rob Halford lookalikes.

Three years ago I got a hotel while at Baltimore the Friday DURING the convention.  I've went 5 years counting so far and only my very first did I prereg/have hotel plans before the week of the con.  I am the master of last minute planning BV

It's cheaper to find a nearby garage, for what it's worth.  I can't remember the name of the place I always park, but it's only a couple blocks away from the convention center and it's $10/day.

Somehow I completely forgot that parking garages exist.  I'll look into some, and if you figure out the name let me know.  I plan on arriving in Baltimore at around 8-9 AM, so there will hopefully still be some spaces available.

Honestly?  It's not worth planning for.  Just drive around north of the convention center until you find one advertised for cheap.  I remember where mine is when I drive there, but for the life of me I couldn't tell you where it is on a map.  But most hotels charge $20-$30 (yuck) and their parking lots are ALWAYS the first to fill up - just because you have a room guaranteed doesn't mean you have a parking space.

Yumemi vest and skirt are almost done. I botched the vest a little, but I'm quite fond of the skirt. Made of a lovely cotton/poly blend, the red is especially strawberry-like. It has a little hem facing and some nice cotton/poly ruffled binding to match the texture of the skirt.
 
Now let me find my masculinity so I can go back to thinking of all the girls I'll be picking up while I'm wearing a skirt.
