Title: Question about Video Capturing Stuff

I've played a lot of video games for a while now, and I've been wondering...What would be the best method of capturing gameplay footage? I'd like something that I can hook up to my computer (since they're like within spitting distance of each other), because I'd rather not try to break the bank over a DVD recorder.
