Unthinkable Natural Law filesize?

This is something that's been bothering me.

I got the expansion pack on its own, prepatched to v1.01. The .RAR containing it was approximately 270MB, if I recall correctly. When I unpacked it and gave it its own folder, the filesize came to 1GB.

Scarlet Weather Rhapsody on its own takes up 1GB.

Seriously? A full gigabyte for an expansion?


I have UNL synced up with SWR and can use everything in the game, yadda yadda yadda, no problems there. I'm just wondering if I somehow did something wrong with the filesize. Is UNL, on its own, supposed to take up an entire gigabyte, despite having maybe a third of the content SWR has? O_o

Oh, er, crap, sorry about that. Forgot the rules for a second there.

Yeah, it's supposed to be that big.  With everything that's been added or changed from SWR in addition to the fact that it's still its own separate game, it needs its own full-size .dat files and whatnot.
