Hey guys, this is me, PurpleTheGuy, and let me just say it truly is an honour to be here with you all (Yes, I am that one guest that always shows up almost everyday here where, at times, I am the only guest, and, as of today, I now reveal myself by being a member here, since I did something that finally gave me a reason to be a member of MotK), and finally post up what is, as of today, essentially the biggest accomplishment I have ever done in all of my time playing in Touhou (I already introduced myself a bit in the Accomplishments thread, just so you know) to where I have finally, in my mind, earned the right to be a member of MotK! This is the 1st ever 1cc on Lunatic (I personally call it "Legendary Mode") I have ever done in all of the Touhou games, and... Well, what more can I say, honestly, other than what I have said already, other than I just literally blew my own mind?

Umpteenth tries, reset back to stage 1 after screwing up in some parts I shouldn't have, dying one too many times on either stage 6, 7, or 8, and Reimu defeating me somehow everytime... :ohdear:)! It is a real honour to be here, and post what is the greatest accomplishment I have done yet!  I aptly named it "LegendSY" (The reason I named it will be explained on the replay I posted)!

Look forward to being here with you all, as I know I still have so much more to learn, so much more to get good at, and that this is only the beginning for me!

Well, for me, it depends on what difficulty I'm playing as, like, for example, if I'm submitting a playthrough/replay of some sort on hard mode of any Touhou game and the character I used, I put in "Heroic *Insert two initials here for character used*", like say, if I beat hard mode on PoFV w/, say, Marisa Kirisame, I put M (1st letter of 1st name) K (1st letter of last name), so it'll be like "HeroicMK" like that. Or do I really have to use a set name for submission to the MotK socreboards? If so, I'll understand for next time, even though I like to name my playthrough/replays like this. Hmm, if this is so, then maybe I should think up just sort of set name should I use for the MotK scoreboards.

Yeah, I chose that name, specifically for that particular replay, based on the difficulty the replay is done in, and the character used in that replay.

Also, while we're on that topic, if I may be allowed to say this much, even though I understand the scoreboards is not meant for chatting, and I'll keep that in-mind: It is an honour to be actually speaking with you, Karisa! I've watched your videos on YouTube, learned some from them, and I'm currently learning on reaching the next level in Touhou and other shmup games, so I respectfully bow before you, Grandmaster Karisa! And, to Zil, it is also an honour to meet you, Grandmaster! Indeed, playing on PoFV is certainly a lot of fun! Yes, I've heard much about you, along with Karisa, and know of your deeds! Very well, then. I'll post up playthroughs/replays using a standard name then, for the MotK scorboards. For the next time and future times I post something here in the scoreboards, I'll use my nickname I called myself on this website, The Kid, for future consistency.

My apologies. I did get a little carried away, especially with I just did throughout the whole of today. It's just... Wow, you know? I'm actually here, posting and all, so it's quite surreal to me, really. I never imagined that I would ever get to be here, or heck, even beating Lunatic (Legendary, lol) in some way or form. I used to be one of those who, when I used to watch videos (This was before I started actually studying them, and not just be "impressed" and make silly comments like most of everyone else), I used to think to myself, "Dang. There's no way I can do that. I suck at this game. Maybe I should just quit." But then one day, I stopped dreaming and wishing, and started actually working at the games, and now, with me actually getting better at the game(s), it's just... Wow, it got me this far, and it can only get better from here on. Now, I'm studying, wanting to learn to get better, and start actually growing as a Touhou player, and a shmup player in-general, and the fact that I'm now even talking to some of the same players, of whom I would study their videos from time to time, it's just to me... Wow. So... Forgive me, for I only meant the best. With that said, I'll keep that in-mind. I didn't know. I always try to be respectful, all the time. Again, my apologies.

Hmm... I'm actually trying to learn some of the scoring mechanics (I kind of get a little bit of PoFV's scoring system), particularly for PCB & IN, as it would be useful for me to know and learn of it, when I do get to where I'd want to be in those two games (My focus is on PCB, trying to get beyond normal mode) but that's a whole different thing I believe I shouldn't ask on this thread, but on another thread rather.
