Recently, like 2.5 days ago, i managed to get my hands on 3D Custom Girl thanks to a friend. And after finding mods and getting more items to add to it and all i managed to get quite a few touhou girls as a result ^^
After fiddling with it and eventually seeing how perverted it is *sweatdrop* i got a good grasp on how everything works and whatnot and took some nice pictures ^_^

well the touhou girls i got from a friend. I can get the mod for ya if you want. The game/program itself is about 5 gigs and it took 7 parts for me to get the whole thing from him -_- took a while but it was definitely worth it hehe ^_^

To be honest dood, i've no idea. I don't really see this as a game...more like an engine for creating 3D girls and poses for modeling/screenshots and ero play. I dunno what to call it but i do more of the former than the latter. Taking screenshots and whatnot is pretty fun + making girls.
All the touhou girls are modded in so you can't make them just have to load them up but after that you can edit their clothes and whatnot

I already mentioned that and said i knew that as well. If its just an eroge then i guess that's the only category it can fit in. I can't really see this as a game, nor a simple tool.

I suspected at first but wasn't really sure based on the little info I saw in this thread.
But I believe the technical definition for this program is "toy". I don't know the definition of eroge. But if it's really "erotic game" or something. I don't think that would really hold true either because I can totally see this being interesting to some people without ever intending that. I mean I can see girls liking this thing just to play "dress up" with their fave characters or something.
I'm not really interested in playing dressup with girls myself, but I am interested in how it works kinda. I mean how do you choose what girl to use? Do you ahve to import an extracted model from 3dsmax or maya? Or is it more user friendly somehow? How do you just change their clothes? Is the import naked as a base, and the game uses physics to wrap pre-determined dresses around the model? Or does it somehow emulate pre-clothed models to have other clothes on using some kind of magic which I can't begin to understand >=P.
I imagine it's much easier to use than working with 3dsmax and shit for models and clothes, or else it really woudln't be much of a program, might as well use 3dsmax. You don't have to answer those if you don't want. I'm really just musing to myself.

Explaining how it works to Ghaleon:
The program's quite easy to use. You start with a base model, where the height, width, and... other physical characteristics can be adjusted via sliders. Eyes, mouth, hair, clothing, and accessories are then selected from a series of selection bars. I'd imagine you only have to do 3D modelling if you want to create custom clothing or something.

Yeah that's basically it. when you fisrt start it gives you one template but you can edit everything about her and save as many as you want/is able to, After figuring out the physical look of her you can choose what ever clothing and accessories you want. AFter that you can have em enact in multiple sexual scenes or go to the posing section and make your own poses or use current ones to take screenshots in or group shots in. As you said here

her skin looks accurate to her portrait in SA. well to me at least. i could make her have a bit more life to her. Remi's skin was just like Satori's but-no wait i FOUND a Remi with "dead pale" skin but the current one i have i liked more. all i did to remi was change her nails, and eyes and for the love of it gave her earrings and gave her a ring~ Though you can barely see it anyway XD

The default boobs are huge and ugly no matter what you do but there's a decent loli body model floating around

Well that something special came to fruition! After receiving a call from Professor Yumemi at like 3am, she told me to head to the beach again but i didn't see her at all. I would guess some would. Though as me and Ghaleon said before some might use it just to play dress up or something for fun. Like I am basically. I've seen what you can do with this thing but that's really it. either you make a char. take pics, make poses, have sex AND take pics. :-\ I've seen a huge pic with the (9) standing naked and dominated an entire room of touhou girls. it looked rather amusing haha the others were on the floor/bed passed out. comical but that's all you can really do and some of it may take a lot of time to figure out haha.

well,here is one...i use a male mod body,who is relatively new...looks well done, how pretty face.
(exist another Rinnosuke mod who is strange,because is different to the other man bodies. is full dressed (very detailed) but no appear like the "partner" in the "voyeur mode" (XD) and can be only used in the pose mode. But no like it because is inexpressive. Hope who some day, someone take the dress of that model and make a clothes mode.)

Well i've had some freetime as of late. Doing papers and such at school is a real pain in the ass no?
Especially end of the year crap like projects, presentations, deadlines all that nasty jazz.

Now is my question: how can one do all those Touhou characters? Are there maybe add-ons or something for it? Does anyone have them? It would be very nice if you could help me and him ;)

So basically i made Rin Statsuki from scratch. It wasn't too hard here. Someone requested her(haha take a guess eh?) since i'm doing something special that i'll post later. I like my Rin she's really cute ^_^
Its not easy to MAKE a character from just the mods you have in the game. Some dresses for the touhou girls say Remilia, Keine, Utsuho's etc dresses are dam unique and can't be made with generic tools. For Rin Satsuki here i used kimonos and other japanese style clothing and made her hair as close as i could. Its not exact but its pretty good i hope. Unless someone releases a REAL mod of a girl then it wont' be exact at all haha. So yeah Homebrewed Rin. by yours truly~

start the game and press print screen key to save a snapshot and find it on your computer THAT is where it'll look for for any mods you have.
The path is My Documents/TechArts3D/TDCG
So put your mods there like how i did here. make the folders yourself or save a screenshot and find it.

oh so the premade girls work but you dont' have the clothes for free use in the game? that is possible to happen. Example, thanks to VIVI i have Wriggle as a premade/loadable girl but i dont' have her clothes in the game itself. Her clothes load ON her still but i don't actually have them in the game to start with.
and like VIVI if someone wants a certain mod i wouldn't mind sending them. I noticed you had Mystia, Reimu, PArsee, etc that i'm missing. I'd totally like to get them if i can haha.

Well...I hope people enjoyed the christmas cards that I made. I used Paint to add the text so its not the best looking stuff but ah well. I don't use paint that often so its no big deal. I hear photoshop is free so I'll look for it later since it is much better. Even if i get it, it'll sit idle for a long time till I happen to need a use for it again anyway haha.

Well here's what I've been working for the past 2 days. This was supposed to be new year kimono/yukata deal but i didn't have any interesting kimonos in my collection till 3 days ago a friend of mine who also works on Touhoumon gave me these via a link. Naturally i was like "O_o AWESOME!" Since I love japanese culture and most especially Kimonos hehe. So its no New Year Event sadly but have lovely girls in kimonos anyway!

Yup and i can confirm now that i saw em on youtube that literally EVERY touhou character (even PC-98) exists so far sadly i haven't found them all....but i have every char from windows EXCEPT Murasa. and I have a handful of PC-98s.

well i said it took me 2 days to do. I coulda done them in 2 hours or so if i wasn't playing Labyrinth of Touhou and UNL all the time :-X...overall it didn't take too much time. just picked a kimono and put them on who of all the touhou chars i had thought was best and took a pose and picture hehe.

On the first page of the thread we talked if this thing was considered a game. Even now i don't have a definite answer as to if this is considered such. I'd say yes since its an interactive, fun, program like a game. Only you get to dress up and make girls. I dunno. It feels game like to me and no one really argued against it. One considered it a toy rather than a game. That too makes sense. So i made it in the arcade since it was talk and showing off creations in/with this game/toy thing.

Well I didn't know there was an updated rule on thumbnailing which is what I'm saying. Rules and guidelines before that i knew but not an update. Though i read it now so its fine.
We didn't really conclude if this is a game or not or just some tool. Some said game, other said tool or toy. I made the thread thinking it was a game until someone started that conversation. No one mentioned if it should have been moved or not but the general talk of this...thing's purpose was talked about. In any case its a thread where one can make something and show it to others and talk about any mods or things related. Well since its kinda ambiguous i suppose it can go either or, so place it where it feels best.

Spring break ended last week and I spent the time sleeping and buying yugioh cards for various decks. I enjoyed the sleep immensely @_@. School started back this week and i'm gonna be more or less free this weekend. I'ma get started on some other outfits and stuff for this. I've been meaning to get to that Inusakuya request from a while back....ever since getting DS and yugioh cards i put this thing on hold. blargh
Anyway, don't be concerned with the Hatate stuff, just some flavor text or some sorta 'story' i went and blah'd up randomly.
Speaking of which does anyone have a Chiyuri or any other PC-98 mods? I couldn't find anything lately.

The setting was in Chirieden with 2 masters: Satori and Koishi. Though it was mostly antics like feeding the pets and avoiding Okuu/Orin pranks.
I've been sick for a while now. Thanks to allergies screwing me up and now that finals and graduation is upon me I'm more than tense for 2 people. Mostly thanks to student loans...then again I feel relieved since I have the least amount to pay back from what I saw my friends and roommates have to pay. I'm less than 50k in total. One of my friends has 104k in loans to payback! Damn, that Remilia looks incredible. I only got into 3DCG a few months ago (and I haven't done much other than create one character and organize some mods), but this is really making me want to explore it. I'll probably try when the school year ends in a few days.
Also, are there any specific/obscure mods you guys recommend, or should I just skim through them and install whatever looks good? That's what I've been doing so far.

not particularly, you can get any mod you want for background, wearable items or what have you, poses too. just take whatever interests you. Though I posted here all the touhou girls i have already but if others are willing to share their creations and stuff, have atcha.
I made Luize, Sara and Koakuma from scratch. Rin Satsuki too. pretty fun stuff.

Yeah, I found this a little while before this site, but I can't get many mods to work.
I got it mostly because it lets me "Be Like Aya", and take photos. xD
Anyhow, I found a mod that enables Byakuren's Hair, but when I make it look completely like Byakuren's, it crashes.

I've also found out that the password to grab it is "custom".
In fact, that's the password for all the mod packs on that site.
If you guys know why mine keeps crashing when I use Byakuren's hair, that'd be quite helpful.
Images of the folders used will be coming in the morning, if that is needed.
I have attempted to apply the XP Patches, but things seem to be a bit off......
Another problem I have is that although I have the SAV files for almost all of the windows girls(Excluding Letty, and almost all of UFO.).
When i go to load 'em up for a photo shoot, they don't have their clothes.
Well....Yuka comes close, but she's not got her Umbrella or top.
She has her Plaid skirt though, which is nice.

Hmm... I'd like to help but I'm still wandering through the game myself. The first problem is that I'm not entirely sure your mod is working in my game; I put hijiri_kami.tah in my arcs folder but I didn't see anything resembling Byakuren's distinctive hair gradient. I have a bunch of other Touhou hair designs but they might be coming from a mod that was already in there...

Hmm.........and I doubt that Hongfire's gonna be any help either.
I've heard from a friend that they're notorious for being slow to respond.

The Hongfire threads have a ton of info but it's scattered throughout the hundreds of pages. As for asking specific questions, you might not get a reply if the question is too difficult and there's no easy answer, but the thread isn't too slow. Worth a shot anyway.
