You?re not far of the truth that little poem apparently came from a book about multiple social aspects and for your question the author of this little poem is Roger McGough.
I don?t know if this will tell you anything though.

I saw this little poem on a small poster and I really thought about Reimu and Yukari speaking these lines, or am I the only one that can imagine that?

Well, I can honestly see it happening . . . though I honestly don't really see Yukari waiting in line for anything unless by some freak coincidence she's forbidden to (or unable to) gaphax.

Meanwhile, you know you're addicted to Touhou when you can appreciate weaponry more when it's equipped to a certain character. Or made by one.

Or when you go on a manhunt through Danbooru just to find one single picture that you saw as a still image for a Youtube-uploaded remix. Thank god for the 'Knight' tag.

oh and guess what, I actually up to Reimu- "Visionary Miko" on a 1cc recently and lost, which really, really sucks.

I guess these also counts too...
- I saw a battle vid once on youtube and he used an Azelf, I immediately recognize the kana as Cirno.
- Pokemon nicknames to Touhou names, self-explanatory.

On a related note, I can safely say my brain functions with the following now:
Pad= Sakuya
Dio Brando= Sakuya
Armpit= Reimu

there is no hope for me... gaaaaahh....
