Well, Mokou's generally careful about not causing collateral damage. The Bohemian Archive article was a fluke brought on by ... um ... the fact that ... Mokou had captured all Kaguya's Impossible Request spell cards, and Kaguya jokingly said that, having "fulfilled" her Impossible Requests, they could get married now, and tried to kiss her! Yeah!

I have seen a few doujins where Mokou's head burst in flames when she's flushed, imagine what would happen when Kaguya brings that out of the blue!

Yeah, character-killing, unless of course it's to honest-to-goodness develop character rather than just for the sake of upping the tension, is not particularly my cup of tea either.
