I noticed a few people asking about remapping keys in Touhou games, so I decided to script one up. Now usable for MB:AC as well.
If you're lazy, just get the latest version.
Available versions (updated 2009/08/23)
1.04 (latest) (http://www.mediafire.com/file/ymytzjnmmzm/Remap104.zip)
1.03 (http://www.mediafire.com/file/lgf52g1hjgv/Remap103.zip)
1.02 (http://www.mediafire.com/file/jwjwmmjmyzo/Remap102.zip)
1.01 (http://www.mediafire.com/file/zotdnmixytk/Remap101.zip)
MF Folder here (http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=755848e6c5a1e4e195af63b7d44918aa6f0d7125eab50415)
If you want to have a (slightly) smaller program and an ini file with fewer keys that you won't use, grab the lowest version that suits your needs. Minimums are: 1.01 for Touhou shooters, 1.02 for PlatineDispositif/Suguri types, 1.03 for MB:AC. Any higher version can be used without issue though.
Extract it, edit the values in Remap_Keys.ini to whatever you want, then run Remap.exe.
While this program is running, it will remap the keys for your whole computer, hence why there are quick enable/disable keys.
Extra controls:
Caps Lock + Q Enable/Disable hotkeys
Caps Lock + W Close script
Caps Lock + R Reload hotkeys
The following require hotkeys to be enabled
Caps Lock + 0 Activate Default keys
Caps Lock + 1 Activate Hotkey Set 1
Caps Lock + 2 Activate Hotkey Set 2
Caps Lock + 3 Activate Hotkey Set 3
You can also right click the keyboard/S icon in the tray for some options.
I tested the script in Touhou 6/7/8/9/9.5/10, it works fine in those with no lag as far as I can tell.
This is still a work in progress, and I may add a GUI later, but it should work well enough for now. Feedback is appreciated.
This will not work on Windows 95/98/ME.
Also, here's (http://www.mediafire.com/file/zummnmi1mzm/keyscan09.zip) a useful program called Keyscan to test out which keys you should map to. It will show which keys the computer sees as being held down, so you can quickly find a set that works for you, then remap your keys there. (Keyscan originally from http://www.digitalgenesis.com/ )
Version 1.01
-Changed hotkeys to Capslock+ instead of Ctrl+Shift+
-Added support for multiple sets of hotkeys and switching between them
Version 1.02
-Added support for V,A,S,D,F for use in other games
Version 1.03
-Added support for B,N,M,,,.,G,H,J,K,L,T for use in MB:AC ver B.
Version 1.04
-Added support for Q,W,E,R,Y,U,I,O,P,Space added command line switch capability to all versions

Why would you want to change the keys?
-
Some keys don't respond when you're holding other keys.

Oh ha ha. That usually means that you should get a better keyboard.

Laptops.
Also, some people might just want a different layout.

1. There are plenty of people that have a perfectly workable keyboard provided you move the keys a little. (also laptop scissor-switch keys are nice for gaming, ignoring longevity issues)
2. PoFV player vs player default controls are a pain in the ass, with the 2468 instead of 4568.
3. Having more [optional] options is generally better than not having them.
4. I made this a long time ago, I'm just reposting it from the old forum (http://old.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php?topic=243.0)because people will inevitably ask, and having it around is useful.

Both of my laptops works perfectly with multiple key registers.
Go Toshiba, I guess?
-
My Acer also works fine with multiple key pressed.
-
Hey, I've got a problem when using this sometimes. If I press two opposite directions at the same, like if I was switching from up to down really quickly, then sometimes it stays stuck in one of the two directions when I let go of both keys. Is there a fix for this behavior?

Hey, this sounds great as the arrow keys in my father's laptop are tiny. However the links appear to be dead, could you reupload them Mefidex?
Thanks :)

Keyscan link is broken
After running Remap.exe it just says this:
Error at line 24.
Line Text: Capslock & q::
Error: Invalid hotkey.
The program will exit.

KeyScan official download page is here: ftp://ftp.digitalgenesis.com/pub/keyscan/
And that version of AutoHotkey is really old. Try newer ones here (http://ahkscript.org/download/).

It was AutoHotkey?
Huh...
