I actually had the opposite opinion. I liked the slice-of-life parts, but the scenes with BRS seemed to be weird and unexplained. Then again, me and the group watching this weren't able to finish since we got kicked out of the room before it ended, so maybe it got better towards the end and I never found out.
The BRS vs Dead Master scenes are actually later on after the slice of life parts. You need to watch it to the end to understand.
But for the record, Yomi disappeared because her dark feelings mathed those of the Dead Master's, her other self. This allowed Dead Master to posses Yomi and take her to the otherworld. That's why she left without a trace.

ah, but then who is dead master, who is BRS? why do they exist in an alternate plane and what business do they have with these two girls? if so be random, there must be tons of people with those feelings of love and 'lesbian' deject.

Well, there IS a possibility that they'll make a second OVA. They'll probably explain more there.
