If you guys want an alternative to listening room, Mumuplayer does the job quite well. The only catch is that the rooms are limited to 5 persons each.

So I found something to replace Listening Room.

It has all the features of Listening Room, plus support for YouTube videos. Only issue is that you have to have a Facebook account to be in the room, but that's easily remedied.

If you go up to the account option (top right) you can change your name to display as something else and remove the link to your facebook profile.

Also, there seems to be a problem with using Youtube links for uploading, it skips itself and the 10 or so songs following. So don't do that :V

There were Firefox and Chrome users saying the site worked fine, although there were some uploading issues. YouTube songs play for a short while and then skip when they play at all. The chat can be laggy. But, when the songs upload, it works better than LR.

I tried playing a few Youtube songs. It worked perfectly for a few songs. Then it stopped in the middle of a song, skipped to the middle of another song far down the playlist, went backwards through the playlist, and cut off half the time from the songs that it played. So yeah...

Otherwise, the functionality looks good. I haven't had any problems with uploading songs directly from my library yet, non-English doesn't seem to be a problem. and it's nice that you can upload multiple songs in one go. The volume control is also a nice touch, and I like the progress bar.

It's annoying, but you can always create an alternate facebook account relatively quickly.

Hopefully they remove the "facebook only" part...but that suggestion's almost a year in the making.

Last few days we've been successfully using the mixapp room without any major issues at all.
Even YT videos decided to work. Sometimes.

It's quite stable, and I don't even have to use Chrome for it, it's doing great on FF too.

e: It's 6AM and there's 4 hours of music in the playlist so there
