I roam the seven internets for quite a time. Yet the seas called "IRC" are for me like aliens- unknown.

My search upon stickies, though probably not detailed enough, produced nothing except the rules that are meant to be kept in the area of the IRC.

My moronity has decided to take the better of me:

What is that IRC thing? a chat? How do I get to it and move around it?

And more detailed: How do I get on your IRC?  :V

IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat >> shameless wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Relay_Chat

Basically it a place to group communicate. IRC can be done either by using web-services (accessed through browser) or using a client (for example mIRC)

MotK has an IRC server where you can join various channels and chat/idle etc. If you want to join the server use the webclient TSO has put up or download mIRC from the given link and configure it to join the server. In case you are using the client:

Server = irc.ppirc.net
Channels = #shrinemaiden (main channel) ((seek the forum for other channels))
