The concept is simple: you click the link and upload music for everyone in the room to listen to. No registration, no fees. You can set a nick for yourself and chat with each other, too. Music queues up in the order received.

Keep in mind that the site is still pretty much in beta, so it can get a little laggy/buggy at times. Still, it's a lot of fun.

It was working fine for me until the SSH song came up and then it froze when it was done. I tried refreshing the page, multiple times even, even just going straight to the URL again. The room is showing as empty now.

It screwing up like this for anyone else?

Yeah, I'm having the same problem now. Been refreshing every couple of minutes.

EDIT: NVM, it's working again.

I was too, but now it seems to be working. I suggest closing the tab and then opening the link again instead of refreshing. And yeah, it can take a few tries.

Now that we got a bunch of people in here, songs have time to fully load before they start playing. It's been working fine for me for the most part.

I like the idea. I can link friends from Facebook so that they can listen to my library.

Yeah, it's a yo-yo. Totally up and down, but mostly up. It's beta and all, but when it runs, it runs well.

I really like the enthusiasm you guys have shown for this.

Seems like it's back up, I'm the only one there at the moment though

edit: although it's skipping over the queued songs, plays them for a second and then goes on to the next one. Weird.

Testing the site out in a new room I created. Still don't hear anything.

Edit: On a laptop running Vista, Firefox 4 Beta does not work. The site works fine on Google Chrome, but the beginning of songs are usually left out... Some uploads also stop before they finish.

Yeah, from what I'm seeing reported from a number of different people using the site, it works best with Chrome.

Keep in mind that a link to the site was posted on the front page of Metafilter today, so it's also probably getting huge traffic right now. That it's running as well as it is despite the traffic is pretty remarkable.

It is. I wonder what the server does with all the uploaded music... It'd certainly be an easy way to pick up stuff =/
The server load must be insane, especially if DJ's get on the site...

I'm the only one in the room right now =T

Maybe that's also why streaming in the room is more reliable now.

Weird, me and Minch have been there for a while. Maybe try what Ammy said earlier about opening a new tab instead of just hitting refresh?

Unfortunately a four year old laptop just doesn't cut it for this kinda thing.

EDIT: I take that back. Turns out its better with Chrome.
