Flashy Flash Flash Games
« on: June 14, 2011, 07:52:18 AM »
Alright, since I have nothing better to do, I feel like playing flash games.

Except, I don't know many.

Ones I know include;

Soviet Rocket Giraffe
Trollface Launcher
Pokemon TD
Diamond Hollow
Flow

So any outstanding flash games that the world should know about?

My favourites are Replaying: The Game and Karoshi: Suicide Salaryman (as well as its sequel Super Karoshi).

Former: Just too damn funny.
Middle: Challenging in a different sense! Plus I can actually make that song from scratch in Garageband (it uses Apple Loops).
Last: More of what I loved about Karoshi, minus Garageband and plus more challenge.

Go to Kongregate, and you'll never run out of flash games.

Uh, I can't really remember that many off the top of my head right now. Here's a few that randomly come to mind.
Bullet Heaven - Flash STG. A surprisingly fun diversion.
CDX - An escape the room type with excellent graphics.
Need for Madness - Car racing, except you can choose to blow up the other cars instead. There's a sequel out now, but I haven't tried it.
N - Platformer. Downloadable. Not much to say, really.

And there's always these of course.

Edit: Oh someone basically posted my entire list already boo.

Happy Wheels, as showcased here. (NSFW)
On a more depressing note, One Chance.
To make up for that, here's You Have to Burn the Rope.

There's probably more but I can't remember them.
Also the capital letters spell "hot" that wasn't intentional but I don't want to change it.

Soviet Rocket Giraffe
Oh god I love Soviet Rocket Giraffe.

MOAI NO TOU deserves a mention for being crazy and cooky and -really- charmingly done.  Your mouse acts as a guide for the Moai who try to swarm it - you want to lead them to the ladder.  Of course their weight is going to affect the tower they're standing on!  There's a few levels and different music and it has kind of a Katamari charm to it.

There's also The I Of It which is just short enough to not overstay its welcome and is a really neat little idea.

And of course Achievement Unlocked 2 which is actually short.  I suggest finding buds to play it with since it has multiplayer.  If you can do it live even better.

There's more, I just can't think of them at the moment.

Aww, no "A Company of Myself"? Damn.

Frantic and Flow are amazing flash games. Also the "Shift" series.

Can't think of anything else. I haven't been playing too much flash games.

FAKEEDIT: OH OH MULTITASK 2! Oh crap I loved that game.

Aw, no one mentioned Every Day the Same Dream? One Chance (which was brilliant) had lots of similarities to the former.

Ray Ardent: Science Ninja.

Just play it. It's...amazing in it's own right. It's glorious.

Can be a bit annoying if you're going for all stars.

No mention of Elona Shooter so far?
I am disappoint.

It's like a Shooter, mixed with Tower Defense, mixed with RPG.
And did I mention all the different guns? No I didn't!

But there's a whole bevy of boomsticks to choose from!
Longbow, Crossbow, Bowgun, SMG, Machine Pistol, Small SMG, Heavy SMG, and so many others!
Even a GRAVITY GUN. Only class that could possibly use it though are Rangers or Nobles though, on account of them being good with Big Guns(Which it's classified as).

Robot Dinosaurs That Shoot Beams Wjem They Roar!  This game's just SOOOO 80's that it's kinda funny

Also, there's Achievement Unlocked and it's sequel, Achievement Unlocked 2.  These are just funny 'cause they're so meta.  And you get to poop pastries.

Manufactoria is a game where you have to set up a machine to manipulate robots depending on an arbitrary rule, such as "this robot needs to have an equal number of both colors!" or "all robots have to have this yellow dot in the middle of their string!".
Let's Play: BIT.TRIP FLUX | Let's Play: Malicious | Skyward Sword: Shieldless Final Boss | Skyward Sword: Boss Rush! | Ace Combat Infinity: Campaign in the X-02 Wyvern

Translations.
How much time do you guys think it will take for HM to be translated? Besides everyone's story modes and the whole menus, there's also the fact that the way HM's programmed is different from all other games. I bet it'll take two months.

lusvik: I don't mind about playing HM in japanese. The language of punching other people is international.

Oh man, how could I forget Robot Unicorn attack! especially as I am part of the demographic that pretty much reigned over the fad i.e. this particular town played more Robot Unicorn than any other city in the world, including the entirety of Iceland before they took over.

Oh hell yes, I remember playing this game a lot a long time ago. When did the sequel come out, anyway?

Also, since that's not a flash game, can we post any browser-based games here?
