some guy covers matryoshka

I don't like his voice but you lot might so yeah
Seemed a little too powerful/overbearing for the song itself, he sounds more suited for rock/metal type music. Not a bad voice though  :3

ooooooh first western producer on the weekly VocaRan (#14 too!), english!Luka is amazing

Oh, VOCALOID. I was hoping to see a thread of this in here.

Anybody had their hair DYE'd yet?

I think I'm an obvious Luka Megurine fan here. Miku already too overrated.

IMHO, Miku well deserves every last bit of fame she has, but Luka needs MOAR.
They think I'll think that they'll do (A) so they'll do (B) because I wouldn't think they'd think of that but then because they might think I know what they're thinking they'll do (A) after all because I wouldn't think they'd think that way.

Well, she's the reason VOCALOID turned so popular. I'm not denying that.

But yes, I agree. Luka needs moar love.

Due to Vocaloid is a kind of software which you can tell the virtual singers how to sing a song. Sometimes the songs made by those fans user are great as well. So I think that Vocaloid songs are unlimited. I spent much time on collect it and ended up to find that I was stupid to do it, I can never collect all of them.

ELECTROCUTICA - Crystalloid

This is Electrocutica's third album, featuring Vocaloid voices Megurine Luka and Hatsune Miku.
I think twice before listening to anything Vocaloid, especially Miku, since they're pieces of software that are VERY difficult to manipulate correctly.

Sure, people might write a few songs and have the software sing, but fine tuning the voice to produce the best (most realistic / softest / most mature, w/e) pitch of voice is something that not all composers can do.

In Crystalloid, VOCALOID vocals sound crisp and clear, clean and vibrant. Miku's pitch isn't ear-shattering, in fact, she becomes closer to sounding like a real human.

As for the actual music, if the circle's name didn't give you much of a hint, yes, it is purely electronic music. Mixed electronic sounds with a software voice. If you like this sort of thing, then this album is probably what you're looking for!

High-quality preview here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dTWGRMDyeI

9 Tracks. Check out Electrocutica's two other albums if you're interested. They also produce original music with human vocals.

Another Ronde of Possible World PV. Really, really like this one because of the effects. Masataka's version is really good, too, because of the dancing and use of different Miku models.
They think I'll think that they'll do (A) so they'll do (B) because I wouldn't think they'd think of that but then because they might think I know what they're thinking they'll do (A) after all because I wouldn't think they'd think that way.

I hope people don't mind me posting in this vaguely old topic, but I don't think it's worth starting a new one... :ohdear:

Personally, my favourite vocaloid songs are all songs by the Kagamine twins. So often you get really sad and touching songs from them.

Someone's already mentioned Kokoro, which I agree is best heard in duet form and is probably my favourite of the songs, as well as the Daughter/Servant of Evil storyline.

However, I feel I also have to mention Prisoner by Len and the response song by Rin, Paper Plane. They're so sad...
