AI War: Fleet Command

My current favorite RTS.

AI War: Fleet Command is a single player and cooperative space RTS that also combines elements of Grand Strategy, Tower Defense, and 4X games.

AI War: Fleet Command pits human players against an AI that, rather than trying to imitate human players, is intentionally made to operate very differently from human players and is always in a vastly superior position at the start of each game. AI aggressiveness towards the players is determined by how "aware" they are of the player's activities. The more the players attack and take control of planets, the more resources and reinforcements the AI will commit to attempting to destroy them, which makes it important to decide what to attack and when. There are a variety of AI types with different behaviors and all have adjustable difficulty. Lower AI difficulties will allow you to simply send in blobs of ships and kill things, but higher difficulties will require much more sophisticated tactics and strategy to deal with.

Gameplay has a stronger focus on strategy and group tactics and less focus on micromanagement and APM. Many aspects of economy and defence can be set up to be automated, allowing you to focus on offense where your attention can make the most difference.

The game supports to 8 players in co-op and games can be easily saved and continued, which is good since many campaigns can last around 10 hours or more.

You can try the free demo and purchase the game on Arcen's website and on Steam:

I'll come up with an evil scheme later. First, it's time to build a giant robot!

You can't have a good evil scheme without a giant robot!
