Eh, I'm not really paying attention to anything about this show outside this very thread. I only looked at it because I was wondering WTF a topic title like this without an NSFW tag could be.

Anyway, I found it curious how much people seemed to rave about it like the animation was beyond godlike or whatever, and I just didn't see it. I can understand that shortcuts explanation and stuff, and I haven't seen this show enough to agree or disagree but I'll take their word for it. All I know is that looking at the characters..The details of their clothing and such seemed really simple. So far I've only watched Nanoha and Rozen Maiden, and well, I have to say I thought Rozen Maiden was visually impressive compared to what I saw in this. But I'm a sucker for the wardrobe or something I guess (and the hair).

I'm not really arguing that the show is awful or great, I just didn't see what was great with the 2 scenes I saw via example in this thread. Though I have to say the pink hair thing hiding behind the black hair thing and not simply being a highlight is kind of a cool idea, though it's probably not original to any of you guys, it is new for me >=P

Oh the glorious thing that is PnSwG. Glorious. Glorious. FREAKING glorious.

A dystopic city with mindless random things happening. A formula that has been used pretty good in western animation, although maybe not that mixed. It reminded me the good times I spent in my life watching Invader Zim (Heyo, Chuck), Powerpuff, among other things. And this is just... amazing. It's what I wanted to watch Japan try: a series where randomness and distopia is connected in a series of 15 minute "chapters".

Seriously, if I hadn't been checking other stuff this season (Oreimo, Ironman, Bakuman, TWGOK), I'd watch that episode a third time.

...and I have a crush for anime-styled Stocking (the transform parody part). That is all.

What I love most about this series is the soundtrack. The electro riff/sound...thing somewhere in 10m01s (yeah, that specific one) made me eargasm, and it just kept getting better.

The risqu? content has not come without its costs ? according to Gainax, due to ?very challenging content? the third episode barely avoided cancellation at the hands of station censors. Raunchy content in a school setting is apparently at fault, although just what the problem is will have to wait some time to become clear.
