I've read the manga with the 3 fairies, so this makes me really excited.  Still kind of weird seeing Makoto Hirasaka's art here, though.  I wonder if Daiyousei'll be in this game?

Even if it's not Touhou 13, it's a new game, so I'm satisfied.

It's a rather unusual time for me to be receiving links to anything so I'm thrown a bit off guard by this. To the person who should get this, you know who you are.

Possible thoughts on this:

1 Sumbody's eyedeah ov 1 joeq. Too tired to properly verify at the moment. Even if I could, it might be Zun's idea of a joke. <Tonepoet trusts nobody>

2.Zun fell off his rocker.
2.7 Possibly because he ran out of ideas.

3.If this is real, it's probably a reaction to her incredulous popularity as Gensokyo's village idiot. Might diminish the role, more likely to strengthen it.

4.Or maybe his favorite fairy saved him from a heat stroke and he's expressing gratitude....

5. Probably a very short game. Possibly "The Shortest™."

6. At the end of the day, it'll show that Cirno really is "The Strongest?"
6.7 Unless "BAD END".

7. Print characters and no Zun art? Odd trend for a game.

I think the point of this game may be not so much focusing on Cirno, but more to tie the print works into the games. So, the 3MF are really the stars. Nineball just got the main role because she's also a fairy, her ability provides for possible interesting gameplay elements, and she's weak enough that the 3MF could feasibly produce a challenge for her. Reimu or Marisa would stomp them pretty effortlessly :V

I'm wondering what the difficulty level will be, I suspect it'll probably be lower than StB/DS.

......Actually, does anyone feel like translating the text on the screenshots at all so we can begin theorizing scoring/gameplay mechanics/etc?  Just at a casual glance, the "Level x" is probably connected to the percentile value displayed above it and might have something to do with a PoFV-style bomb charging or similar.  I dunno.

I'm stoked about this game though, maybe not as much as Double Spoiler but pretty close. I'm curious to see what he means by the interesting gameplay and the 'chewable difficulty', and if we'll see any new characters. Actually, does anyone have an idea of what he could mean about the difficulty? I've never heard that expression before.

As for the game, it's looking really interesting so far. The fairies are awesome, so I'm glad they get a whole game now, and the mechanics look interesting from what I can tell by the screenshots. It seems like the freeze move is a projectile that goes forward and freezes a small area of bullets, then any other bullets that touch them get frozen too, like a chain. I think the percentage is how many of the bullets you froze at once.

Conclusion? Don't listen to my predictions of what ZUN will do. He is a mysterious zephyr in the shadows, leading you into your own confusion, and then springing you with the unexpected. He probably steeples his fingers and cackles himself to sleep every night.

Seriously, even though ZUN says he just works on Touhou in his free time, I think he must take it more seriously than that; I recall him saying it takes him about six months to put together each of the main games, but through my own experience I have no idea how he could manage that just by putting in a few hours on the weekend. He must work on it during the week too...

Side games like this are probably more managable though, I think he's taking it easy for now. And he really does seem to have fun with the print works, which is probably why he's making a game of it.
