A no death attempt would easily break 1 billion, regardless of if it succeeded.

My best is around 1.7 billion, I think a little over it.

I never did no death that stage yet because

Rings of Death (Usually I have the bombs for it)
Fujiyama Volcano (forgot how to do it)
Possessed by Phoenix second phase(this has ruined the most attempts at No Death)
Hourai Doll (only had a no death run end here somewhere between 1-3 times so far, not sure)

So I made my first LLS Normal 1cc with MarisaA. That game... shits lives at you.

And then I went for MS Normal. Marisa, again. Reached Yumeko with five lives and three bombs, so I figure I got this crazy shit.

How did I die four times to her first two phases?

Somehow, though, I reach Shinki's Recitation with a spare life and three bombs. Only to die. That shit is claustrophobic compared to Byakuren's Recitation. Three desperate bombs later, I proceed to the last phase with no bombs or lives.

I captured VoWG Hard the first time I reached it for my 1st MoF Hard 1cc... :V
But I have been trying the lunatic one before so...

Ho, and PCB Hard clear. Yuyuko looks hard the first time but...isn't hard the second, but Youmu is horrible as always...
(Lost Soul's Village is in fact totally trivial)

I almost can't 1cc any touhou normal except MoF and SA.
Almost 1ccd IN but ohlol KAGUYA RAEG
Also UFO but I keep failing even if I have enough lives. Then I hit continue and beat the game no problem

YES!

After several weeks of playing like crap, I thought to myself that doing something different then IN would be good to counteract the drastic skill decrease. So after recapturing StB 9-6 in less than 50 tries, I grew confident and tried IN lunatic again.

Well, whaddaya know, it worked. Sadly I fail HE at the very beginning of the green rings, but whatever. Finished with 2 extra lives and captured Astronomical Entombing, without destroying more than three familiars, so that should be enough of an accomplishment.

Now, what is left for me to do is:

IN lunatic 1cc with final B.
PCB lunatic 1cc.
MS lunatic 1cc.
UFO lunatic 1cc.

...hurr...

Getting better. I still can't read Super-ego worth shit, and I should not have died the way I did on Rorschach (lack of finger control FTL). At least I captured Koishi's last three cards all in a row.

Critz, congrats dude! Don't think that something like a Phantasm clear will go unnoticed.

Speaking of PCB extra stages, had my first go at PCB Extra tonight in a long time. Perfected everything except two deaths over Ran's last two cards. The one on Izuna Gongen occurred only halfway through, meaning I managed to survive the last phases of the attack. All of a sudden multiple Extras seem not too far away (relatively speaking) from a perfect run.

Well, I know MoF is like a joke of a game to most of you, but I finally 1cc'd it on lunatic. Took me awhile because I honestly haven't really bothered with trying to go for any new 1cc's a whole lot since discovering the wonderful world of great Touhou fangames. But I'd occasionally do an attempt once a week or so. Today was it. now I just have SA and UFO left...Too bad I can't even reach stage 5 on either...on hard, let alone lunatic.. gah. I don't know if I'll ever do UFO, it makes me rage too much, I just hate the powerup system, it kills me more than any boss or danmkau.

Thanks but, the truth is, I can barely 1cc Normal in PCB or get somewhere in other extra stages :ohdear:. That run happened just because of my persistence of playing nothing but PCB Extra/Phantasm for the last 2 weeks or so combined with too much luck. I almost feel like I don`t deserve that clear.

Isn`t Charming Siege harder because in Xanadu you don`t have to move left and right all the time while trying to get through the bubbles? Same goes for Spiriting Away, because the butterflies are less dense than in Princess Tenko, and I can even go past them diagonally sometimes.

Also I bet that those four times you mentioned are either:
1. Pre mid-boss Ran section.
2. Ran`s non-spell
3. Zenki and Gouki
4. Heavenly possesion
5. "The explosion" post mid-boss Ran
6. The very last section - streaming hell

I bomb every one of these, maybe except first one, but the last one I bomb twice...thank Kanako for borders...

By the way: Could someone with Yukari`s Last Word in IN upload their score.dat somewhere. I`d really like to practice that card to capture the easier one in PCB.

Best thing that happened to me in Touhou. I have been trying so many times since I finished SA Hard mode which was around Christmas. Now I can move on to my first Lunatic clear! :]
