Berkeley's Phantasmagoria: The Dangerous Haven
« on: April 28, 2010, 03:23:08 AM »
BERKELEY'S PHANTASMAGORIA CONTINUES, AND THE PARSER ATTEMPTS TO MAKE ART!
MAKE SURE YOU REMIND THE PARSER TO NEVER TRY DOING SO AGAIN.

You are BERKELEY MALONE, an average teenage girl of 2010!... by the standards of USA, at least.

Yesterday was your 16th Birthday, and since then, some very strange things have happened! For one, after opening a package containing a CRYSTAL DOORKNOB and an invitation to play "THE GAME", you've found an alternate dimension inside your closet, where you met JIGEN, a GODDESS dying from LACK OF FAITH. You also received the GODDESS ORB, a wonderful thing that allows you to use magic! Past Jigen's Transdimesional Space, you found ANOTHER WORLD, more EARTHLIKE this time.

In this world, you've met ESTELLE MONA LISA, the one who sent the invitation for you to play "THE GAME". You also met the little girl STELLA ELSHEART, who showed you around the VILLAGE, and then you went to WINTERVALE, a town past the northern forest, with VERONICA SPINELLI, the junior witch! During the trip, you saved the fairy DOTSY from a SPIDERWOMAN! You found the town of Wintervale to be DEVOID of people, except for the ghost RINOA, who claims to only have lost her body, and Stella's GRANNY MAY. On the way out of Wintervale, you were stopped by the catgirl LUFIE, employed by Estelle! You defeated her with the help of Veronica Spinelli, and learned from her that Estelle has a SPY in the VILLAGE!

You then returned to the Village, and received a BLANK SPELLCARD from Granny May! Then, you returned to your house in your own world, along with Rinoa, and had a little sleepover! In the morning, you returned to the Village to find the the FAMILY that tended the FARMS had been CAPTURED by Estelle! You also received AZALEA'S KEY from Stella, and had your FIRST SPELLCARD made with Veronica's help!

Afterwords, you searched AZALEA'S HOUSE, finding a DEPETRIFY potion and one of FIVE ALTARS that empower the GODDESS ORB! Through the altar, you contacted AZALEA and learned she's in ESTELLE'S MANSION and needs your help. She also told you the whereabouts of the other 4 altars, but you had trouble hearing it, and wrote down the bits and pieces you understood.

Then, you returned to the Village, DEPETRIFIED MASHA LA, and learned that the FAIRIES might be able to help SAVE JIGEN'S TRANSDIMENSIONAL WORLD. You then met MIDORI OISHII, and a fairy that lives with her, COCOA TAPIOCA, who agreed to show you to way to FAERIE FOREST if you bring her "something good"! You decided to first, however, make a SECOND SPELLCARD with Veronica's help, and then RECRUITED Masha La to come with you to the Faerie Forest!

>Your inventory currently contains...

-Red-Black Checkered Coat (Equipped)
-Goddess Orb (5th Degree)
-Shiny Earrings
-Self-Developing Camera
-Chocolate Birthday Cake
-Screwdriver
-Green and Black Thread Spools
-Bag of Mother Fudrucker's Cookies
-Azalea's Key
-Doodling 『Sperm Fafrotskies』
-Bottle labelled KO.Gas-A and B
-Bottle labelled Heal
-Bottle labelled Bomb
-Azalea's Cards
-The Shining 『Mister Sun, Please Come Shine』

>Your current long-term goals are...
-The Game
You lost it. Estelle brought you to this world for some kind of  "Game". You know absolutely nothing about it, except that everyone else in your position has disappeared rather quickly.
-Saving Private Azalea
Azalea is inside Estelle's Mansion, and needs your help! She's said that you should be very prepared before you come, though.
-Paradise Lost
Jigen's Transdimensional World is dying! If you don't save it, you may be trapped inside Estelle's World forever... plus, it'd be pretty mean of you to just let Jigen disappear!
-Five Altars of the Goddess
Each time you find one of the altars, some of the power of the Goddess Orb shall be unsealed! This means you'll be able to use more magic, and hence, become more powerful; which shall be very important to rescuing Azalea... or if you want to even live long enough to get to do so.

>Your completed long-term goals have been...
-Stone Cold Sister
You've cured Masha La's petrification! Good for you!

>Now, let us return to our current situation...
>You are in Midori's Restaurant/House, with the fairy Cocoa Tapioca and Masha La. Cocoa has just asked if you've got the "something good" to give her, in return for being lead to the Faerie Forest.

>You get out the bag of "Mother Fudrucker's Cookies" that your neighbor made; Cocoa looks inside, and takes one happily. But then, she seems confused.
>"These are cookies, but... I think they've got something bad in them! Like poison!"
> If the cookies don't work, offer her some cake.
>Next, you bring out the tupperware, opening it to reveal a nice big piece of chocolate cake with chocolate frosting... you can't help but salivate with how good it looks.
>Cocoa floats up and down with delight, clapping her hands. "Ooooh, that's PERFECT!"

>She pouts. "I'm really good with food, that's my specialty! I'm sure they are!"
>Actually... you haven't had any. Not from this particular bag of cookies, at least.
>You give her the cake, and she squeals in joy, rushing behind one of the doors. She returns a moment later, the cake gone. "Okay, I'll take you two to the Faerie Forest whenever you want!"
