Honest, I didn't mean for it to come out as bashing Mystic Square and the first two stages of MoF... even though I've been saying that I hate them both for at least a year now :V

On the other hand, your list seems completely opposite mine.  If nothing else I applaud your choice of bashing Love Colored Master Spark.

The proper question to be asked is "Why was Youmu's stage theme watered down to the point that it induces sleep"?

If you didn't like the PCB version, you're sure to hate the IaMP version.

On the other hand, the SWR redo of Till When? is the only version I've heard that I liked.

Seriously though, PoFV introduced many new themes. The themes for characters that were newly introduced were generally good, especially Fate of Sixty Years. The themes for characters who already had themes were not bad, but all of them were inferior to at least one of the themes the respective character had already.
On a similar note, why did they choose Broken Moon as Suika's fighting theme instead of Onigashima in the Fairyland? More specifically, why did they take the okay but inferior of the character's two themes and then make it even more boring?

Generally, PoFV, StB and DS all have more mellow themes. While this may be neccessary because they would tire you out too much otherwise, this means there are a lot less memorable pieces of music in them than in the regular touhou games.

Despite all this, the game with the worst sound track is still SoEW. Most of the themes are not really bad, but they are definitely not as good as with the other games. And even if they were, I can still hate on SoEW. Afterall, SoEW is SoEW.


Also: Everyone who does not have the exact same musical taste as me is obviously a horrible person.  :V

Game with the worst music is PoFV without a doubt. It has about five or six tracks that don't make me cringe (not counting existing themes, where even those sound subpar to the originals). As for individual games...

May I barge in with a random list...? I don't quite remember the ordering of PoFV levels but every single one of them fails almost inevitably... out of the list here. Restricting to shooters after TH6 otherwise takes tooooo much effort to write...

St1B: SA, as above none of them fails too badly
