I'll give it a go.

I cannot sign you up just yet! Newbies are prevented from sending PMs. They can receive them, but not send them. You are both only a few posts away from becoming regular members, so your spots will be reserved for now until you post a few more times or they were going to be, until rdj and TAC posted.

Which means that I will bow out of this job myself, since I'm lazy half the purpose of this project is to get new blood into the place. That means there is one spot for you two to compete for. So the first one of you who PMs me to ask for the spot gets it!

Everyone else has been added, and unless someone bows out, we won't be adding any more. Thanks for all the interest so far~

It's a good thing I don't hate Aya anymore.  :V

Don't worry about it man, I don't like to post to fluff my account either. If you want I'm completely fine to step out for you. I'm just looking for something to make my constant reading worthwhile.

Alright, so I've been going through the library and searched out all the works that need summarization. The end result is a nice list of 92 works, which is quite a bit, but shouldn't be too much considering our group-size.

Here's the deal now: Mr. Rabi, you are part of the team now, and so are you, Logos!
Joveus, if you happen to get the 10 post-limit until I leave for the weekend tomorrow afternoon, you are in as well.

I myself will have to refrain from taking on summaries myself for the moment, since I have an uni-assignment to deal with next week, but once that's done with I'll help out with any work that's left.

So here's the team at this point:

Brave Summarizers: Iced Fairy, Roukan, Chaore, Squawker, Polaris, Sect, rdj, T-A-C, Mr. Rabi, LogosOfJ

The Organizer: Sakana

Looking pretty on the sidelines: Sakuramochi~

Get your caffeine pills and cola bottles people, this library is about to be swept clean!

EEEEEEEEEEH?

Ah..

We're gonna die from all the woooooork!

Nooooooooo!

So here we finally go! The battle against disorder in PSL!

Here's what's going to happen now:

-Soon after this is posted all the eleven people that are signed up to help will receive PMs with eight works from the big list above. That is, except Polaris and Chaore, you two have nine works on your list, because you are cool like that!

-Your job is to make a summary for all the works on your respective list in the following way:

Code: [Select]
Name: title of fic goes here
Author: author goes here
Status: is it ongoing, on hiatus, or what?
Genre: Primary genre, ##secondary genre-- use your best judgment on this
Summary: Summary goes here

Currently we have as main genres Action, Adventure, Drama (includes Tragedy), Romance, Slice of Life, Comedy, Parody, Crossover, Mystery and Suspense, Poetry, Short Story Collections, and Miscellaneous and Other. Try to use those main genres as the primary genres, if you can.

The primary genre is important, since the big Fanworks Listing is sorted by those!

-Once your summaries are done, send them to me via PM. I will cross out all works that have finished summaries from the list above, so we know our current progress.

-The works were assigned at random. If you notice you have tons of very long works or something, just ask your fellow Librarian Squad members if they can help you out and if you can get a shorter work from someone else.

-Feel free to use this thread here for discussion about your progress, for questions if you run into problems, etc. etc.

-Don't feel rushed. We have as much time as we need. While swift progress would be cool, we have no time-limit or anything.

Lastly: I will be away for the weekend and not return until Monday. If any urgent business comes up during that time, please refer to Ruro. Alternatively you can also ask Chaore, he's a cool bunny and will help you out!

-------------------------

I hope I covered everything important here. If not, I'll be away anyway, so you have no way to blame me, ha!

Again, big thanks to everyone that signed up for this! I'm confident you will all do a great job on this! ^^

Librarian Squad, move out!

The story has ended up having an extra update that wasn't in the thread proper (Scene IV Electromagnetic Radiation), so i'd suggest a second look if you already did the summary.

Apparently, game2011's Touhou: Journey to the Smashing Beyond is not only continued over at fanfiction.net, but it also has grown into a 550k word monstrosity.

Would it be alright if I make my summary of it its premise? Or is it necessary to read the entire thing first?

It's fine if you just summary it- This is a list of Summaries after all :V Reading is mostly so you can understand and summmarize, but you only need read enough to be able to aptly summarize it. We're not explaining the entire plot and storyline, we're just summarizing so people can be interested.

Also I'm done as well. Ship anything you guys can't do to me. I HUNGER FOR STORIES TO SUMMARIZE.

Good god. That is indeed a monstrosity!
Just summarize what we have here, and then link to the continuation on FF.net. If you feel it necessary to read at least a bit of it over there to get an accurate summary/preview, then do so, but I sure as hell can't expect you to read the entire thing first.
