Nice colo(u)ring going on here, something I would not be able to do. Now, about guys having wide chest is not always true. Asians tend to have narrower shoulder than Caucasians or African-Americans, which results in smaller chest than them. Also, the guys' chest do not widen until they hit that overdrive period of hormone secretion; just like girls' breast before the puberty. Even after the puberty, the constant work out is needed.

Anyhow, you are stuck on drawing effeminate men/boys consider hono(u)ring the timeless Japanese 'industrial' tradition of drawing flat women/girl and add male genitals. Just look at Bridget from Guilty Gear or Watarase Jun from Happiness! Those character designers seriously added male genitals as afterthoughts for heaven's sake! Speaking of which, it is positioned little too high. Drop down few mms and it will look more natural.

I suppose it is true they are mostly loli with dicks in the case of traps.
I drew the last one based on a jumping like motion, I automatically assumed that his will be... you know, gravitationally affected.

This is Iji-AF declaring a spellcard, I'd say I look pretty damn good in Gappy's colors (or rather the unofficial trailer edit for the dating sim thing that was suggested a quantum years ago)

In this version, I give Iji-AF a much more pronounced design with pasted patterns, I imagine when just like her straps to her hands that changes colors, when the spell is declared the shapes and colors of her dress also changes. This reflects the abstract and change-constantly nature of Iji-AF who is never in the same place for long.

Hey, an update! Now my weekend is complete along with 12 cans of cold beer.

Nicely done as always, but you could also benefit from sharpening up your anatomic knowledge. Here are the few suggestion to think about:

1. Her wrist area is twisted in weird ways, turn both hands little towards to you would do the trick

2. Her head is connected to her neck in awkward fashion, shift her head to right by 1mm or 2mm

3. Shave off some hair in right or make it more voluminous by drawing part of it below the armpit

4. Touch up the right thigh line; it gives the feeling of awkward connection between the femur and the pelvic girdle.

Also, I think you are skilled enough to synchronize the overall flow of the piece and the textile. Give it a whirl next time and it will give more finished feel to it.

On the last note, give some thought about buying a wooden doll with ball joints. Apparently, some people say it helps better than buying some thick but obsolete anatomy book.

I do have one of those actually, but truth to be said, I am now inclined to draw without using too much of those things... maybe it is just me, but anime and manga imo has never been one to draw anatomically correct figures and characters, and I feel it is not really that important compared with say... the overall translation of the picture in my mind to the paper.

Or perhaps it does, I dunno really. For me, drawing is a fun thing to do, and I don't wanna have to be anatomically overzealous or over-focused on one or two areas that makes me feel... I dunno, perfectionist?

First and foremost, I do apologize if my comments offended you.

Sure, hobby's most important aspect is entertainment but I think improving oneself to make some achievements - even if it seems small - is equally an integral part of it. You said drawing is about translating one's thought onto paper and I do wholly agree. However, wouldn't better translation of it be cool?

I know doling out anatomically sound drawings is just a part of producing that better translation but one cannot ignore it. You know, that 'it is not everything but certainly is part of the whole' kind of concept. Maybe I think this way as my take about Anime or cartoon is about exaggerating a given figure in more expressive and eye-pleasing ways. Oda Eichiro, Toriyama Akira and Bryan Lee O'Malley would be good example of my argument. They do have decent sense of 'realistic' anatomy to tweak it to their taste. Following their example, an animator/cartoonist should not be bereft of basic knowledge before maturing one's unique style and that is my view.

Again, I am not trying to force my thoughts onto you, but giving some casual suggestions. So, just laugh it off and carry on if you don't buy it.

Ah, no, I appreciate the comments, and also the constructive critique. For me, perhaps I just don't wanna do so much you know? Call me lazy or whatever, but I guess I prefer them the way it is. I am certain over time I will improve, but as it is, these things already are a side hobby to my busy work schedule, I really don't wanna have to scrutinize so many details so long as... say drawing because I am drawing.

Then again, I suppose I can try to be more specific over time, but I really just wanna have fun and nothing else. ^^

On the other hand, said artist was a lazy fuck who couldn't draw and was looking for "simple tricks" to make him suddenly an awesome creator, whereas A-F is well on the way to PIERCING THE HEAVENS, so I guess it's apples-and-oranges.
