Welcome to Chromatic Wing Danmakufu Laboratory. I'm Nimble Crossier, the broken english fox gladly welcome you.
This place is where you can find all my script and stuff.

東方結界謎 ~ Unknown Territory Appearance

*Unknown Territory Appearance is a fangame. Not relate to original Touhou series from ZUN*

UTA story is about introduce my forum to Gensokyo. Reimu and Marisa will face with some member in the forum while searching for the truth behind. This script will be free for any charecter type. But playing as both default Reimu and Marisa from danmakufu will gain some special ability too.

Phantasm Romance style with dialog and cutin, custom system and original boss awaiting for you.

   While the Hakurei Miko is slacking with her enjoyable tea, a black witch rushes towards
her with excitement painted in her face.

     "Reimu! come with me, you must have a look!" She suddenly ask her.

     "Did we still have anything strange to surprise?" The Miko ask in reply, still drinking her tea, uninterested.

     "I found unknown place... It looks like a new village, is it not strange enough?"
She answer with excitement.

     "Did your Masterspark blast some area and make it look strange?" Her hypothesis
sound compatible with the Black Witch charecter.

     "No! Come on, you're free right?" the Black Witch insisted.

     "N--o--" She answer aimlessly, relaxing.

     "If it's a new village, it may be good thing to introduce the shrine to them and get some
donation..." the Black Witch mumble loudly to have the Miko hear it, and yes, the Miko give a slight reaction.

     "It can't be help, I've to introduce them and warn them about the youkais too." She finally
joined the black witch as she smile.

     "Ok, let's go!" Then, both of them rush to the strange land.

Released Note
Intro stage and Demo version are completely seperate script (but share the same story line)

It took me about 4 months to complete demo version. Now I using remix version of BGM in my script (circle credit include in readme) and diffculty adjust to normal as normal level.

Demo version contain 3 stages with all new boss except of stage 2 midboss that I already submit to event (but however,  I design to use it in my script.)

The sprite looks fine, as far as I can tell, as well as the bullets. Your focus circle (or should I say focus orbitals?) is, of course, awesome. The bombing graphics, likewise. I really like what you have done there.


My contructive criticism:

The focused shot is a little too powerful in my opinion, at least when considering that it has the potential to hit multiple enemies. Comparing it to MarisaB in that regard is not a great idea since that shot type is considered to be better than the other standard danmakufu shottypes by a noticable margain. Lowering the damage of these projectiles from 3.3 to 3.0 should suffice.
Additionally, everytime you switch from non-focus to focus mode there is a lag before Utsuho resumes firing. You might want to fix that, too, unless, of course, it was intentional.

For the focused bomb I have to say that it deals too much damage when you are close to the boss. When you are close enough, it deals damage equal to or greater than that of MarisaB's Master Spark, and MarisaB gets only 2 bombs per life instead of 3. My suggestion for this would be to give the sun bullets an additional variable for the damage done per frame that starts low but increases every frame until it reaches the strength it has now, say, after 10-30 frames or so.

umm...okay, Okuu player script...criticism...or rather feedback let's see.
First, the unfocused shot is actually stronger then the focused shot which I don't mind & are okay to me...second, the graphics for the bombs are spot on...very impressive to say the least...& the damage on them is...okay to me...especially when putting most danmakufu scripts into consideration.  Lastly, the sprite for Okuu herself looks fantastic...& drawn very well, very.  I'm done now...

For normal shot damage. I'll test it a lot more.
I think I'll remember where enemy will appear in many script soon :V

Okuu focus shot need sometime to fusion her option and release powerful attack (in Nuclear Fusion theme). Becuase of this state, her focus shot will become powerful to any motionless target, but absolute pain in stage or when you have to chase the fast moving target.

I forgot about number of bomb for Marisa oTL~ Thank for mention this.
I'll try to adjust her focus bomb damage again.

It took me many mouth to writting this script in to my personal touhou. Too manymany
error occur, too many discourage but now I finally made it!


東方結界謎 ~ Unknown Territory Appearance
Intro stage (demo) is released!

At first, I try to release with 3 stages like ZUN did. But I need some feedback for custom system and if I try with 3 stages, it will took me about 2-3 months more. So I decide to create only one stage and set new plot for it. Then it become intro stage instead.

The stage will be Phantasm Romance style with two difficulty setting before the game start. Honestly, I'm not good at Touhou and danmaku. SA is my current Touhou that I trying to 1cc
in 'Normal' right now (and SatOrin alway own me). So UTA will be greatly effect by SA difficulty. Normal and Lunatic difficulty may be harder than normal, I apologize that. (However, I though that Lunatic is much more easy compare to SA)

I'm very sorry that I'm using original OST from ZUN. I try to find some remix for both song but unfortunately, all of them don't suit to what I want. I'll keep searching for better choice.

Oookay. I have to say I definitely like your cutin, very nice. Sadly, mediafire is a bitch right now and won't let me download the newest version of the Utsuho player, so I had to play with standard danmakufu Reimu.

As always, I'll focus on the stuff that should be improved:


1. The stage is too long. Simply by listening to the bgm, you can compare the length of SA stage 1 with your stage 1. The difference is obvious, and you don't have enough variety in your enemies to warrant it.

2. By regular touhou standards, your normal mode has the difficulty of a hard mode.

3. The first spellcard spawns bullets on you with little warning, so you will die the first time you see it. To improve it, you could use the same solution as Yukari's "Border of Motion and Stillness": Throw a magic circle at the position of the player before your spawn the bullets.

4. You should let someone else go through your dialog and other text and revise it. No offense, but your title of "Broken English Fox" is quite fitting...


Also, you may want to work on your own music first before fleshing out the stage. You obviously can't keep ZUN themes for more than the alpha phase of the project, and the interaction of music and stage is quite improtant for the fell of the game.

I'm very sorry for the first spell card (Double Shadow). This will never happen again.

Add Dropbox mirror and 1.10a patch.
Just extract to your Chromatic_Wing folder to overwrite old file.

- FIX : Lunatic mode change to normal mode during fight with boss.
- Double Shadow spell card will fire a bullet at the bottom of the screen instead.

General Observations:

-Your stage portions aren't bad, but they're lackluster. You seem to focus mainly on rings followed by bullets that can be micrododged. You ought to check out Naut's suggestions in the PoSR thread, he's got some nice pointers for stages.
-It seems that you have a general trend of top -> down bullets. I mean, straight down. This makes non-homing characters pretty disadvantaged, and I'm finding it hard to capture some cards on non-homing characters.
-A lot of your spellcards are really innovative and inspiring, I have to say. Good job.
-You're either doing something to the bomb/character damage, or the bosses are particularly strong. A lot of the cards take a bit too long to get to.


Sonata:
-The angle of her nonspells are really, dangerously wild. Feels like it's a bit much.
-Her last spell is mega fun, though, I have to say.

Other than what has already been said, I noticed something that may not be that important, but still irritates me a bit while playing :V

The item collection line, once you go back down, the items that you haven't collected yet stop moving to you... even if you haven't collected them yet, they should still be moving to you, as long as they existed when you went over the line...

Another thing, stage 2 entry image... It's "majestic", not "majustic" :V


EDIT: Stage 3 midboss spell card... not fun for Reimu A :V
EDIT2: also the boss' spell cards apparently...
EDIT3: last spell card = shit what 0_o... that was awesome

I loved your choice in music, but, why Snowy Forgotten Ancient City for stage 1 boss theme?

I really enjoyed the Stage 3 BG, it was awesome!

I have seen the videos on youtube before this thread was bumped up. Good to see more and more people are aiming for full games and actually building it and showing it. I'll leave the judgement to people here on the forum, as I don't like judging peoples work as a scripter my self.

It's pretty good, but I'm a little bit confused about the "Power" meter. Are there going to be characters specifically for the game?

Also, is it just me or do you really get that many borders?

Power will effect all playable charecter in the same level. It simply decrease/increase heroine fire power.
I'll try to adjust more about border behavior.
