Alice:  Not really. I'm just interested in souls.
I thought they might allow me to make independent dolls.

Besides, I don't think the elixir would work on youkai, would it?

I guess that kinda answers the question.  The youkai in IN don't try to take the elixir because they aren't even sure it'll work on them (or at least, Alice isn't.  Yukari and Yuyuko probably never needed it in the first place, which really just leaves Remilia, who seems to think of herself as immortal anyways since she was primarily interested in getting Sakuya to take it so Sakuya could serve her forever.  Remilia's probably too self-absorbed to really consider her own death in that regards)

That explains why they don't want it, but I don't think Hourai Elixir won't work on youkai. Kaguya is a Lunarian, who are described as part human, part youkai, yet the Hourai Elixir is working just peachy for her.

My understanding was that Eirin and Kaguya were just called "half-human, half-youkai" because the Gensokyo natives didn't know how else to classify them, and that Lunarians are "genetically" human. I could be wrong, though.

K, so I have a few small questions.

1. Mima's title in Touhou 3: "Spirit Who Leaves Fate to the Dream of Eternity"
What does that mean really? Just wondering what you guys think.

2. Byakuren has a spell card called 「Yuugyou Hijiri」 in Double Spoiler that is supposed to somehow tell her backstory, including how she lived as a human. Does this spell actually say anything about her backstory? I'm just wondering, but I'm thinking the answer is no. I'm thinking that the point of the spell is to have the player follow Byakuren around the screen and dye her hair purple. Anyway, just wondering if I missed something.

What's the term for people from Gensokyo?

"Gensokyonians" maybe?

Touhous. Gensokyoan and Gensokyoian have been equally used in the western Touhou fandom, but you just don't do that shit mixing english with japanese. What do you call people from Tokyo? You call them japanese, not tokyoan or tokyoian or whatever the hell.

I tend to call them 'Gensokyans', but the majority of the time they're just called Touhous in the West.

Touhous in the West sounds like an awesome movie.
