I'm not sure if you can play this stand-alone

But this is definitely one of the more fun parts of Hollow/ataraxia, for sure.

I honestly have no idea. You might be better off asking someone else, I only rarely play games with English patching.

There WAS apparently a patch for Hollow/Ataraxia in the works, but there's been no sign of progress for months.

No, but it's belong in the extra section on the menu screen,which is a separate game, so it can be done if someone can hack it out.

Last I heard, is 85% translated without grammar check yet. I'm playing the Chinese translation, it was awesome. Too bad now is like 95% normal life and 5% fighting, but there's too much epic combination that I am very entertained.

I'd need to know how much Japanese you already know first so I can see what to do to help you.

Hm, let's see. I've had one and a half year of university language lessons, so from there I know most of the basic grammar. Add to that vocabulary and phrases I've picked up while watching anime. My main problems are a severe lack of vocabulary, and especially, and that's where I would like to get help, knowledge of kanji.
To illustrate it a bit:
As it seems the words I know are enough to make simple conversations, as it has been proven on a trip to Japan a month ago. Also I've realized, while playing a game in Japanese, that when I have furigana for the kanji I can understand quite a lot, or at least look words up in a dictionary quickly.
But when faced with kanji that I don't know how to read, I'm completely lost. So if you have any advice on how to improve such a level of Japanese and especially how to learn kanji I'll gladly take it.

Kanji - every student of Japanese nightmare.

Furigana is a great help for learning it, but then, most games and such don't give you such a benefit. Most popular manga, however, do (but quite a lot don't). Immersion through raw reading was how I managed to increase my library of kanji, but I don't know if that'll hold for you, since I never had the advantage of university language lessons (I learn from a young age) or even formal school lessons.

Hm, that's what I thought of as well. So that really seems to be the most effective way. Thanks, now I'm at least sure I'm heading in the right direction.
As for manga without furigana, I have a Touhou-doujin and an Umineko-4koma book here at home that I bought in Japan that I want to translate soon, hope I'll learn something from that.
As for raw manga with furigana, are there any sources you can recommend? Because all of the places I know only have translations.

If I recall I know Bleach has some furigana in it, as I have actual physical copy, but then, most of the stuff I read has no furigana >.<;;
