Specifically, I'm trying to install the DDC Ultra patch #1.
What do I have to do to do this?
EDIT: So managed to figure this out by myself.
1. Download the Ultra/Cheat Patches from the
here.
2. Unzip and extract the files to the folder of the game you're patching.
2a. Extract thXX.ssg from thssg.zip. This is apparently required for all of the patches.
2b. Extract from the thXXu.zip for Ultra patches, and thXXk.zip for cheats.
3. Click on the patch you want to install. This patches the game:
Ultra Patches (thXXu.zip)Patch #1: Ultra mode with autobomb
Patch #2: Ultra mode
without autobomb
Patch #3: Ultra mode with invincibility. The high score is your death count, and appears to be used for practice at Ultra Mode.
Cheats (thXXk.zip)Patch #1: Autobomb
Patch #2: Resources never deplete
4. Click on the .BAT file that came with the download. This generates the patched .EXE file.
5. FUN!
