I know nothing of purvisquest lore. Does Mokou still run a yakitori stand? We saw her in the tavern earlier. She might have access to dank sauces.

Yakitori stand was never a thing, she just said it to get people off her back.

>There is the Kirisame Trinket Shop in town, but you don't think they would have anything that Patchouli might be interested in. Sometimes Marisa sells various things, and there is Kourindou. But all of these would likely require something in exchange.

>Let's take the road. We've got some time, and we might get lucky and run into Doremy on the way.

>You head southward, making your way from the village. Past there are more farms, buzzing with autumn activity. Fields are being reaped, others are being tended to. You can see farmers working with their neighbors to speed things along. Up ahead, you can see the crossroads where the south road and the eastern road meet; with a pond to the west. Along the eastern road, you see a lone cottage, well away from any farms. There lies the home of the Yakumos, at least sometimes.

>You do so, and there is no answer. Are they not home? Perhaps they simply had a late evening? It's hard to say.  Perhaps it will be worthwhile to come back?
>You continue down the road. Soon you can see the brilliantly colored forests along the foothills of Youkai Mountain, as it rises up above the surrounding mountains. A picturesque waterfall cascades down the side of it, marking where one can find the kappa village. The road leads directly into the foothills.

>Proceed into the kappa village and see who's there.

> Keep an eye out for Tojiko in particular?

>You make your way up the mountain path. The forest is a riot of autumn colors, like fireworks among the trees. Leaves slowly drift down in stately spirals, while squirrel roam around, stocking up on food for the coming winter. Faeries in fiery yellow and red dresses run and play among the leaves, crashing through underbrush and sometimes firing off danmaku. You don't see the autumn goddesses who are known to live here; they must be busy.
>After some distance, the forest grows darker, the trees grow more gnarled and black-barked. There are not many leaves to be found here, but the canopy overhead is thick enough to blot out much of the light. Sometimes you can hear a faerie shriek with laughter, and other times a crow caws, but it is silent as a crypt otherwise. In truth, you almost feel drawn to this place, being a ghost, it just has that kind of unfortunate aura. At one point you think you get a glimpse of the one who gathers misfortune here, but you aren't sure.
>Eventually, you make you way from the trees into swampier terrain. Here you can see kappa homes, half-sunken things covered in mud and moss, made to blend into the numerous pools of water and cattails that dot the area. To the north, you can see a large place that looks like several barns joined together, where a fair amount of kappa are milling about. Along the riverside is a market where all sorts of river fish can be found, as well as some other things. Dirt roads wind this way and that, cut out by the meandering of the residents. Further along, you can see a lone road wending its way up the side of the mountain.

> Check out that market! She was supposedly looking for food.

>You make your way toward the market. Here there are a variety of stalls, most of them covered in mud, cattails, and weeds to as to look like strange lumps of earth from most angles. Many of them are selling fish that was freshly caught, others deal in kappa-favored treats such as cucumbers and various cucumber related treats. As well, there are a few who seem to be dealing in the mechanical tidbits that many kappa seem to enjoy, as well as more mundane items like cloth and basic wares. Quite a few youkai mill about here; it is simply easier to shop here than in the human village for most youkai.
>Looking around, you quickly pick out Tojiko's distinctive green garb among the stalls near the riverside, browsing over a selection of fish.
