Touhou characters in RPGs

Any particular patterns you've noticed when Touhou characters are adapted into RPGs and similar genres? Some aspects of the characters translate pretty obviously, while others require more interpretation but are still fairly consistent. For example:

  • Reimu: Well balanced stats, with above average accuracy and evasion (and luck if it exists). A reliable pick in that her abilities are versatile enough that she can always make herself useful in some way, no matter the battle conditions - this includes both physical and magical attacks, for both melee and long-range, and sometimes a few support spells.
  • Marisa: High power and speed, but low accuracy and defense to compensate. Always has Master Spark, and it's more likely to retain its AoE properties than most bomb-inspired attacks. Sometimes has spells which buff her own power and speed even further, and can occasionally steal from enemies or use Magic Absorber to restore her MP.
  • Remilia: High stats everywhere except for hit points, which are very low. Alternatively, is significantly weaker against magical attacks than physical ones. May be able to compensate for this with attacks that absorb hp from enemies.
  • Flandre: Very powerful, but either hard to unlock or requires a lot of resources to use. Never has any defensive or support abilities (except for the occasional defense debuff), and may be a glass cannon as well.
  • Yukari: High defense and below-average speed (but okay evasion, when those are separate). Can often buff the defense of herself and others, and may have weird abilities like swapping peoples' stats around or switching position with allies. May also grant bonuses when partied with Ran or Chen.
  • Keine: Good defense, average stats everywhere else. Often focused on her Three Sacred Treasures cards, which are depicted as summoning weapons for her to wield, and her role as a teacher means she usually has at least one single-target buff. Doesn't usually have any mechanics related to eating history, but she may be able to transform into hakutaku form where she's more offense-focused.
  • Sanae: The most support-focused of the protagonists, often has healing and resurrection spells. May still have decent offensive abilities, but have to jump through hoops to use them (like building up a Faith meter). Sometimes her association with miracles is played up by letting her buff luck or critical hit rate, or giving her abilities with absolute or randomised effects like negating an attack or KOing enemies instantly.
  • Yuugi: Very high stats, but sucks at ranged combat and often has low movement speed and evasion. May be able to provide minor heals and offensive buffs to herself or the party (emphasis on party) themed after alcohol.
In addition to that, do you have any ideas on interesting ways to translate characters to a different genre that you haven't seen done before? In particular for newer characters who haven't had a lot of representation yet, but anything is good.

Alice: Despite her obvious theming, her role and usage varies game to game.  However, she's generally portrayed as the most durable of the magicians, excluding when Byakuren buffs up.
Sakuya: Is usually statistically average, but she winds up being a powerhouse due more to her weapons and skills.
Yuuka: High stats all around, except for speed, but has only one or two things actually worth using.
Nitori: Breaks the game horribly.
Life and death are without purpose.  Our attempts to give them one are quite presumptuous of us.  But in the end, we exist, and that is enough.

Current status: Dissuading deliberately choking for imagined fame.

Kisume, Mimic

Kogasa, Iron Smith

Kasen, Agent(lol)

Sanae, Idol

Kanako, Idol Producer (support buff idol class)

Byakuren, Demon Tamer/Pacifier

Babankiki, Surveillance/Communicator

Yakumon Y, Tappers

Larva, prevent enemy encounter & lure certain kind of hardcore enemy

Kazami-san, Enchantress-Buster, no kidding, she doesn't need speed, the poor victim will come to her willingly only to be obliterated. (<-biased)

In every rpg adaptation of touhou I've seen, Reimu's been either a support/healer or an all around type without many weaknesses. Personally, I've always found that weird. I imagine her with high stats all around, particularly in defense, but with abysmal speed, since in the older games her low speed used to be something that set her apart. A traditional knight type character.

In contrast, every time I see Yuuka she's exactly what I just described but to an insane degree. Ridiculously high stats all around, particularly HP, but horrible speed or movement.

Cirno's usually a seemingly weak character that has some kind of trick that lets her get away with hilarious stuff. Sometimes the trick is practical and she becomes a solid team member, sometimes it's not and she just gets tossed away.

While I can't come up with an archetype that Shou fits into, it seems like she's always a weak character at first who unlocks her true power through some story event involving the pagoda.

Tenshi's generally got really high stats in all areas, but there's always someone more specialized who does better than her or she has one crippling weakness. That weakness is never defenses though.
My name is Tres. It sounds like "Tray". Tressert is "Tray-zurt"; like Tres dessert.
I've cleared every touhou game on Lunatic, and beaten every extra except SoEW.
NMNB: MoF Hard, SA Extra, UFO Extra

Junko would have very high stats, and can buff them even further, but she doesn't have many special attacks.

Doremy would have a lot of sleep-based abilities. Like making sleep last longer, causing damage to sleeping enemies without waking them, etc.

Ringo would have an ability that increases the effectiveness of food-type items. In addition, she also gets stat buffs when food items are used on her.
