Beyond Good and F***ing Evil 2!

I got all I wanted out of E3.  Jesus fuckin' christ.

Edit:  really scared by talk of it being a prequel, and online open-world content (???), but I'm hopeful.

Though I'm not really into any of their franchises, Ubisoft did really well this year. Compared to 2015's "pitch-a-meme" meme this was a complete 180 with nothing but game after game after game. Plus they all looked decently fun for those who might be interested in them. PC Gaming Show was a snoozefest as usual, but we all know the majority of PC games are shown at other E3 events (like Microsoft's) anyway :V

God forbid, an Ubisoft presentation that isn't pandering bullshit?

Fear me, for I am the oracle.

Seriously though, my discord friends were holding their breath through the whole Beyond Good and Evil 2 trailer. And the MarioXRabbids game looks like...not a trainwreck? Colour me surprised.

Mario X-Com looks surprisingly good. Surprised there's no Rayman game out, but eh. I dunno about AC: Origins but it might be pretty fun, we'll see.

And uh...Are we getting yet ANOTHER remaster of Shadow and the Colossus or is it an entirely new game?

Bethesda's conference was fucking pathetic.

I mean, the new Dishonored DLC looked cool, and Wolfenstein 2 is shaping up to be awesome, especially considering you can kill the KKK in it.

But, Paid Mods? Are you fucking kidding me Bethesda? Didn't you learn your lesson from the backlash last time?

And Jesus Christ give Skyrim a break already, it's 6 fucking years old now, no one cares about it anymore. Just give us a tease for TES 6 or something. Not the same old shit.

They should've just focused mainly on The Evil Within 2, Dishonored: DOTO, and Wolfenstein: The New Colossus. Save that other bullshit for the last 10 minutes or something. Not drag it out like they did here.

All in all, a pretty disappointing conference compared to the one Bethesda had last year...which was disappointing compared to their 2015 showing! I guess it's always a downward slope when Bethesdas concerned.

Also: Anthem. Seriously Bioware, you cut down on your resources for Mass Effect for THIS? A shameless Destiny clone? Lame.

Nintendo stream is over. Between Kirby and Mario I think someone there has a possession fetish.

BUT WHO CARES ABOUT THAT SWITCH IS GETTING POKEMANS AND PRIME 4 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Nintendo saving the best for last I see... Mainline Pokemon and Metroid 4 on Switch are two more reasons to get a Switch. Bye bye 3DS, it's been a good six years.

I'm so hype for Metroid yessss.

My dream wish was that it would be announced with a full unveiling, but this early in the console's life I won't fault them for wanting to get the news out there now instead of next year.

It's also "Prime 4", not just "New Metroid".  I seriously hope this subtitle will turn out to be meaningless, or just less meaningful than before.  Metroid needs new storylines!  I don't want it to be so dang similar to the previous 3 Prime games.

Retro Studios wasn't mentioned yet as the developer.  I'm actually hype for the speculation that they aren't working on Prime 4 (see above).  Deploy Retro to bring us something else incredible!

My favorite part was where they said they were mostly showing games coming out in 2017, but the majority of the stuff in the stream was announced for 2018.

No F-Zero but I will definitely take a new Kirby.

Watch Rocket League get an F-Zero car. ;_;

ALSO OH SHIT MOTHERFUCKERS ANOTHER NEW METROID

Crazy crazy conspiracy I've wanted to see come true ever since the first Smash: Prime 4 will be an F-Zero crossover. No racing, but Dougie will assist with the whole bounty hunting thing.

Well my dream is some kind of thematic break from the first trilogy, but I'll still be hyped no matter what!

Edit:

WHAT?  A 2nd Metroid?  What timeline did we wake up in today?

I compiled all the games shown at E3 press conferences into a simple pastebin list.  It was taken from various sources, and (aside from some exceptions) it doesn't cover the day long E3 livestreams.  There's probably an error or two, let me know and I can edit it.

Edit: old pastebin site went poof, using pastebin.com now and updated the list

So far, all I really have my eyes on is Monster Hunter: World and the new Pokemon for Switch. But if that's what makes me get a Switch, I may as well grab new Metroid and Breath of the Wild while I'm at it. *shrug*

Personally, I'm by far the most excited about Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Unless something goes tragically wrong with it, it will be what gets me to buy a Switch.

Meanwhile I bought my Switch for Splatoon 2 and Nintendo is giving me plenty of other stuff to do with it so it isn't another Wii U situation where it ends up as a Splatoon machine and nothing else.

Incidentally and outside of the scope of this thread though I HATE how the Switch controller feels. I've had to dial back my recent Thumper obsession because the tiny little buttons are cutting into my right thumb...

Etrian odyssey, xcom 2, monster hunter, zwei are probably the only games mentioned I will look forward to trying. Maybe I'll be interested in that Destiny-like but I wont decide until further info is released.
