I'm going to be getting a laptop with the Windows 10 operating system. Is there any special procedures that I need to take to install Touhou onto Windows 10?

Well there is this thead a few posts down. e: which seems to have been resolved by simple reboot so I guess it's not really helpful.

You'll need to install DirectX 9 to get Touhou games (and other PC games) to work in general.
For Touhou 6-9.5, you'll need the DX8 to DX9 converter to avoid fullscreen issues and fix other weird bugs.
