So I have been playing Touhou for quite a while now. I decided to change the BGM from WAV to MIDI in the options menu. To my surprise, the midi soundtrack will not play in game for me.
I am running all 3 on an ASUS X205T Notebook with Windows 8.1 with 32 bit operating system. The games run just fine and the WAV bgm is not a problem, but when I switch it to MIDI there is no music whatsoever. I did check and the games all have the Midi files in their respective .dats.
Also just in case:
-EoSD has the english retexture pack.
-All 3 have the DirectX 9 dll so I can run them on Windows 8 without FPS problems.
-Both the Japanese and English .exe files are in the folders. (Except Imperishable Night. The Versions are in seperate folders due to the English and Japanese text in Spell Practice changing.)
-All games are up to date in regards to patches.
If anyone can help me out or tell me what to do, that would be great. Thanks!
EDIT: Issue was resolved after a hard drive wipe.
