Sorry if I'm doing it wrong, I'm new here
Did anyone here hear something about the game M.U.G.E.N? It's a fighting game where you can add content (character, stage and stuff) so you can literally play as whatever you can think about (except when no one made that character yet) or make your own fighting game. There are a lot of Touhou characters too, a lot with Hisotensoku gameplay but some have a custom gameplay that makes them fit more in an enviroment where most other characters don't really have ways to defend themselves from the waves of projectiles :]
If you want to check it out there are plenty of Youtube videos. Vinesauce Joel even streamed the game and I really recommend watching those videos, they are beautiful. :V
