It took 'em 7 games with Game 7 going to the 10th inning and a rain delay, but the Chicago Cubs have won the World Series.

A 108 year drought for the team (the longest for any team in any professional sports league) has ended.

It's going to be a long night around Wrigley Field.

Oh man I'm so happy for them. My grandad was 84 years old when he saw the Boston Red Sox win the world series for the first time in his life. I imagine that many Chicagoans are going through the same thing right now.

Well, they already defeated the incarnation of the Baseball Rune, so that's just going to be a victory lap.
Anyway, congrats to the Cubs!  After so long, it's got to be so sweet.
Life and death are without purpose.  Our attempts to give them one are quite presumptuous of us.  But in the end, we exist, and that is enough.

108? Creepy number.

Also can this finally be the thing that makes Valve release HL3?
