Puzzle & Dragons is an iOS/Android puzzle RPG that plays like a cross between Bejeweled and Pok?mon.  It's completely free to play, but has premium time-savers available through purchasable "magic stones," the game's premium currency (which can also be obtained frequently as rewards in-game), which allow for increased inventory, pulls from a rare egg machine, and more.  If you're patient enough the game gives you enough stones through special events and rewards that you shouldn't need to buy any.  (It's recommended you don't because most things can be obtained/beaten without spending money and some amount of patience and skill.)

You can control monsters from lowly slimes to dragons to ancient gods and even highly-militaristic female stars, like Kuvia (above). They all mostly have different stats and skills, allowing you to customize your team for any number of purposes.

Real talk though, the real reason to get into this game is because everyone else here is playing it and has been playing non-stop for the past 2 and a half years, and probably won't stop for a long time thanks to constant updates to the game and its mechanics, balance changes that never directly nerf anything and are mostly focused on increasing the viability of older monsters, and of course the endless addition of new monsters and collabs that are dished out on a regular basis.

A tip for new players: At the end of the tutorial the game will give you one free pull on the rare egg machine.  It's best to "scum" this pull and start over (by uninstalling and reinstalling) until you get something that's really rare (a god).  Great starters include any of the Chinese gods, Amaterasu, Isis, Verdandi, Lu Bu, Bestet, Odin, Kali, Shiva, Amaterasu, Sonia, and the Dragonbounds. Sun Quan is legit as fuck. Definitely not redundant with Orochi. (And he's an extremely handy component of Team Gabriel...)

It's a one-time-use IAP thing where you can pay $5 for ten stones and a guaranteed gold egg (I believe it's guaranteed to be a pantheon god or godfest exclusive?) that just got reset.

Wasn't sure if I wanted to do it, but hey, I was bored in a waiting room. Marginally worth it I guess.

I was actually worrying about the orochi redundance since he also gets the multi-TPA treatment :v I guess he fills two tasks with one active which is neat. And he also looks pretty good as a 16x lead that can easily burst for 64x, it seems?

Yeah, I do wish they had given Awoken Sun Quan something other than prongs, but honestly even if all of those prongs were just blank slots he would still be great.

His double duty active is extremely handy, and yeah, he's probably a solid lead. Wouldn't necessarily want to stack his active though, especially on a team with slightly weird orb requirements. If you ever want to try leading with him let me know and I can put mine up, or maybe we can co-op.

Max cooldown Ultra Gravity. Needed to break Kali's HP threshold in Arena, and having a long-cooldown skill inherited makes Snow White delay-resistant and therefore very reliable. That's why she's Safety Waifu!

Hmm, an Archangels godfest coming up it seems. Gotta start gathering those stones I guess. I probably won't be able to get too many before then, but I gotta try. And it is a decent number of days out.

Tentatively looks like no 4x or 5x skillups on the way, but I'll have to make do. Can't have all these masks rotating skills before I can feed them.

Nice! Congratulations, that's a big best achievement! And Sumire is strong for sure but in my experience she's very difficult to use, so that's no small feat by any account.
