I don't know, but I have one .4km from hatching. Will report back.

I also hatched a Geodude out of one of the common eggs, which is nice because I've never seen one in the wild.

I have played exactly 0 hours, 0 minutes, and 0 seconds of this game and I intend to keep it that way. I have still already been on 2 pokemon adventures and had a ratatta in my lap. I went as part of a group of 5 people to a restaurant. 2 were playing at the start of our meal and a third had started by the end. I then got a text from my girlfriend about how she caught an eevee in a coffee shop.

While I am not playing, it's very tempting to open up a business of hatching eggs since I can clock a good 40km during the course of a week.

There are a bunch of those and Drowzee in downtown Lansing, so our gyms tend to be loaded with them.

That's a thing I wonder about. Is it even a reliable way to get coins if they just change hands every half-day or so? I think in the time I arrived at my friend's house and by the time he had to take me home (about 3hrs), two of the gyms had changed hands. I feel like this was intended...

Anyone who started out with gen 1 pokemans knew just how great the abra line was and how many emotions swirled around it. The patience needed to hunt one down in the grass north or Cerulian. The strategizing involved with putting it asleep or stunning it before it could teleport away. The success of capturing one. The exasperation on finding that they were a pittance at the Celadon game corner... Still, this was gen 1. Psychic was OP and the abra line was monstrous. Friendships were forged and cultivated for the sole purpose of getting Alakazam.

I started the game with my Google account, but I figured I should just use the Trainer account I already have, so I deleted the game and restarted, logging in with that. But still, that's sketch as fuck.

Yeah it's not a small thing to have, especially because Niantic should know far fucking better.

I would be unsurprised to see this blow over but it really shouldn't, this is super beyond any reasonable allowance of incompetence.

Nope. In the same way they don't allow you to change teams (excepting maybe a support call) or avatar, they also don't allow you to relink your profile with another account.

I lost 20+ pokeballs today just from the game glitching the fuck out

I walked to a PokeStop a while ago and the fucking thing loaded

but as I spun the center disc it just said "Try Again Later".

It's like... opening a fortune cookie

you open it thinking you'll find some predictable optimistic platitude

but instead the little paper just says "go fuck yourself"

Somewhat related, I heard that if you miss a pokeball throw, you can quickly tap on it when it hits the floor to retrieve it again. If someone has the balls to try this out...

Tomorrow is my work from home day, taking Donut to a cafe that's in between 2 stops to grind out pokeballs since I throw/flick like a drunk toddler. Hopefully I can get a lot from that and then do the Lucky Egg grind with my rats and winged rats
