Haven't watched the stream yet, but one of the things I'm hearing is "no censorship", which basically means "no redesigns for characters that could really use them, like Ushiwakamaru, Boudicca and Jack, and more bait for entitled gamerbros to screech about fictitious SJWs taking their eye candy away".

I really want an Ushi redesign. Everything about her is fantastic, except for that damn outfit.

Yeah, all the stream said was that there'd be no censorship and that Altria was going to stay as Saber's name. Apparently tomorrow we're getting game-related news? And monday, which is weird since it's past release date. Assuming no crazy maints. :V

Yeah. That name. I really don't know why Aniplex didn't bother pushing back against Nasu on that name. I guess they just don't think it's important enough to fight about, not when the rest of the series is ridiculous enough as it is.

What also gets me is in the first trailer there's a mentionof Agateram on the name of Camelot's singularity but I'm sure it's meant to be Airgetlam, Badivere's NP and a reference to an Irish myth about a king that needed a silver arm implanted to be a king.

Should we be prepared for a crap localization on behalf of Aniplex of America, then?

Not sure about bad localization, but be on guard for misromanizations!

On top of the starter roll, you get to choose a 4*. That's startlingly generous.

I was expecting them to leave that out if they did starter, yeah that's a really good pitch.

You probably don't need to actually reroll that much, but they're also chucking like 40 quartz so :v

Yeah with the gift quartz I'm rerolling for waver or bust. But the second free 4* is neat, specially since JP had it while HK didn't.

Honestly, anyone who played long enough to have that DEFINITELY did not get a free 4* on roll.

So I was expecting one or the other, not both.

Well this is embarrasing...

Hopefully they correct that in an update, as well as proofread future translations for mistakes like that.

If you're talking about "Altria" then don't hold out hope. That's the name that Type Moon wants to go with.

More like whoever was involved with the translations couldn't be bothered to run it through a spell-checker. (endulging)

To be fair, I've messed up a few times myself.

Seems like rerolling isn't too difficult.  I think the problem comes with f/go's notoriously low 5* rate for Servants; it seems there's a base 5% chance for 5*, but even if you pull a 5* there's a 4 in 5 chance you get a Craft Essence (think equipment) instead.  I'm sure the people who've actually played the game here have a better idea, though.

Almost here.

Time to invest 1 yr from now, by getting Waver in the reroll.

Why is Waver so sought after?

Why is Waver so sought after?

In short: he's the best non-limited support in the game, probably the best support in the game if it's a defensive fight frankly, and overall an extremely strong caster.

in long: he boosts both attack and massively boosts defense, all while filling your NP bar which is super important. He has a flat 50% NP burst without attacking and it's really ridiculous. To top it off, his Noble Phantasm also delays enemy noble phantasms and can occasionally prevent them from doing anything.

He's really, really good. He's basically the standout choice among casters and by far the strongest estimated release servant.

The thing that will define how much inmediate value will he have will be if he has his skill buffs - On release, they didn't give any NP (Not sure about the crit buff). The buffs were so needed, he got them for free without the need for doing an interlude.

Now, he'll still have some issues during Orleans because dragons are riders and it's full of them, but. :V

Yea, Orleans will be a problem for Waver, but as long as you got Regend Kojirou it won't be. Plus his scalability in the endgame is so high, he's practically still the all-around support than Merlin being buster-oriented.

After Waver, I plan to just spend my quartz in fgo US for Okita, then Jeanne Alter, then Merlin, and anyone else after that, reliving the memeteam in US. My only worry tbph isn't getting the 5-star servants themselves, but getting the 2030 CEs. I've been lucky in JP so far getting 4 copies. lmao.

At the very least I can focus on 3-star servants, something I haven't really done in JP except my favorite 3-star Ushi.

Also! Be sure to save your FP for when Okeanos releases! Won't want to see the release of Camelot without an Euryale.

not a 5 star, but I pulled a 4 star berserker heracles that is recommended apparently. This good, or are 5 stars much more superior to 4 stars in this game?

5 stars are definitely overall better than 4-stars, but there are several 4-stars that are as good or better than many 5-stars. Heracles is one of these good ones due to his Berserker class and good skills for survival. He also has a stat growth curve that is good for the early game.

Edit: Told myself I would reroll until I got a 5-star, and who shows up after 5 cycles but my first JP 5-star, Altera. Well, since she showed such devotion, I can hardly leave her behind, can I?

as a whole, honestly, if it's gold it's good enough in many cases.

However, a 5* is usually gauranteed quality bar a few exceptions, since that pool is usually filtered out of trash by 'limited' servants. 4*s... welll....
